Thanks Cagney, glad to hear about scratching rather than pain Big Grin Would love black and white as stars, you're very brave Thumbs Up Would love some on my inner wrist Thumbs Up

The advice my tatooist gave me was NEVER get a partners name, a football team or anything to do with a music group as you could change your mind. I stuck to animals. Panther, Pegasus, Eagle and a cats eye (chinese style). You're right to think long and hard about it coz it's there forever unless you wanna go through painful removal

Very good idea. I love the look of some tattoos, particularly on Miami Ink when they are done by Ami James Ninja
Any ideas what you'd like yet?

People say to me all the time "you're gonna hate it when you're 80". If I live to 80 I'll be happy I'm breathing not worrying about a few tattoos. Big Grin

I hope I'm gonna look at them and remember my youth but if I don't that's my problem nobody elses Wink

Do the prices vary Cagney if you don't mind me asking? Not really sure about the cost of tattoos.

OMG I got mine done when I was 18 which was 15 years ago. They were ÂĢ20 each. My mum gave me ÂĢ50 for my 18th birthday and said "buy yourself something nice" so I got a black panther on my shoulder Big Grin

When I told my Mum earlier she was pretty cool about it even thou she's not keen on them, just said 'it's your body and you've gotta make the decision' then again I guess I'm 19, so she's just respecting my choice Thumbs Up

Maybe one day when I finally do move out, but my dad is so bad with them he refuses to look at the tv if Miami Ink is on, I have taken to channel flicking to stop him making comments. I love the look of some of the full back angel wings I have seen, they are true works of art when they are done well. Not sure if I'd ever be brave enough to have one done though.

I like the thought of the black and white stars, very pretty. I've seen them done on the foot too, looked very effective.

Aww Hug Well if you do decide to go ahead, sure they'll look great Thumbs Up And then I guess even better, you'll love them if you get them even more Thumbs Up Angel wings sound lovely, I'm the same Puppy dw, I would only get a small pattern, hence the stars.

Aww thanks Hug They sound appealing, as you said on the foot it looks pretty and I would imagine it wouldn't hurt as much, always a good thing Big Grin

Thumbs Up That's cool, they are very effective and a great way of you being unique and expressing yourself. A big part of this is to do something like this to be in control and a way of doing something crazy for me if you see what I mean. But I'll think it through first Big Grin

Try the henna. If I had got that tribal band I'd be in getting it removed about now. If you wanna do something crazy get a piercing. If you don't like it take it out and the hole will close up Wink

True Thumbs Up I'm just really keen to get a pretty tattoo that's permenant, but like you said, it does need serious thought + it's gotta be because I really want it done Thumbs Up As you say at least piercings close up Big Grin

That would be ok. I don't think I could have a stranger do it though.
