Only when I'm feeling particularly nervous...... I do that nervous chattering thing where you ALWAYS end up saying something you shouldn't just to fill the silence! I hate that!

Oh.... I talk too much in my head too. And I frequently tell myself to shut up....only I have to say that bit out loud or I don't listen.

Are you really? I'm guessing you're joking but I do have a sneaking admiration for folk who remain calm, cool and collected - I feel that it's almost a duty to keep conversation flowing ..............ridiculous really but - I can't bear awkward silences and feel somehow responsible.

I don't like texting - would rather email.

And I spend a whole load of time flapping my arms, shaking my head and mouthing "I've gone out" to phone answering slave (husband) if anyone rings the landline.

Apart from that, I'm very chatty in social situations

Ha, Ha, me too, especially when I'm just in from work and the last thing I want to do is spend ages on the phone.

I can be a chatterbox, but I like my quiet times too, oh and people who chatter on and talk about a load of nonsense when I'm trying to get on with stuff/concentrate drive me batty, I want to scream, "Shut the F up, I'm not interested!" There's one particular culprit at work, oh and another in a shop in a nearby town, I actually like q a lot of the stuff she sells but usually avoid the shop 'cos she does my bonce in with her constant natter, natter, natter.

Makes me sound a right miserable bugga! I'm not, honest!

EXACTLY sweet...those people who, you listen to, who have not a single interest other than hearing their own voice, think that they are so entertaining and funny, (and they sometimes are...to a point,) but are so blooming full of themselves that they don't ever leave a gap in the conversation, and when you get half a chance to speak, they're not listening, just deciding what they are going to say next, and then will usually talk over you

But as I said further up it sometimes has to do with the company you're in, some peeps can help to bring it out of you

What..you mean those who actually are interested in you rather than hearing the sound of their own voices?
