Does anyone want to admit to loving some of the tacky trash that's on our screens these days?

I bliddy love Jersey Shore and more recently Geordie Shore.  God they have found some awfully great people to appear in those shows!  Their poor parents must be mortified at some of the behaviour.  I'm not judging them tbh, they're just doing what other people their age do BUT having it filmed must be hard for their parents.  I love it all though

I've only caught 2 eps of TOWIE but would watch it again, but have never seen Made in Chelsea and not sure wether to give it a go or not.

Are there any other shows I'm missing out on?

The only one I watch is the X Factor. The rest of 'em you can take a walk down your local high street and see the same stuff, do some shopping, and call it multi-tasking.

Am I the only one who expresses surprise at people who have their tellybox on from morning to night? They may not even be watching it but it exists as some sort of background  noise.

I have mine on for that very reason. .am stuck in the house on my own day in day out and having the box on makes it feel like people are here with me even If I am not always watching... as does the background noise..  radio doesn't do the same cos I can't 'see' people..

I'm a saddo I know

ps I recommend Made in Chelsea as another guilty pleasure TV show. .tis TOWIE with but with nobs ..love it..

I love that description. TBH - nobs annoy me ever so slightly but ...............I may give it a go

Olly have you ever thought of applying for TV work? You could sum up programmes in a few words - a sort of precis/summary.

TOWIE - nut with nobs - I love it

I like a bit of 'shite entertainment', as well as the heavier stuff.

Something like BFGW can count as both, in my book. We are actually learning about different cultures, surely? Some may call me an Anthropologist Apologist!

In fact, I'd say that I know a lot about different topics, by virtue of watching TV!

In short, I like the high-brow and the brow-raising kind of shows.

Same here, Olly.

In fact, the only exercise I get is running to the TV, to see what they are talking about.

Doesn't make you a saddo at all, Olly. It's better to have some background noise/company rather than having silence and maybe feeling miserable which is how silence makes me feel xx

yeah I know what you mean. .makes me antsy if I don't have something to stare at either ..even if I am not paying attention

Blizzie I know of them things of which you talk. .usually send me to sleep so am always having to flick back
