Do I have to pay for this too? <----I'd post a smiley face but it won't let me

If the smiley problem is continuing try clearing your browser cache to see if that helps.

I still insist on getting The Broons annual. One year, nobody bought it for me - I was in a right strop and had to buy it for myself!

Oh that Argos catalogue has a lot to answer for!

Oh! I wish ours would do that!

I've never seen it, would love to, but I don't really like watching films at home.

This has reminded me that it was kind of a tradition that I would take my son to the cinema on Christmas eve. We did it for years when he was growing up......we baked mince pies in the morning, cinema in the afternoon. We haven't done it since he was old enough to cope with the excitement of the day without a major distraction programme. I might bring it back this year though....just cos.

I got it from Clinton Cards.

I was hard core Christmas shopping yesterday! I dropped my sister at Heathrow airport at 5am.....drove part of the way home....stopped off at Peterborough...had a snooze in the car, grabbed a breakfast, then went shopping as soon as the shops opened.  I was determined not to waste the 9th Saturday before Christmas!

I totally agree - I always get the old-fashioned ones for that very reason!

I will depending on Mrs Mufs shifts

The first time we watched it was one of them rare times you get with a house full of kids when It's a Sunday afternoon, the house is quiet and you have the telly to yourselves. The film is good but the watching it was great

Awwwwwwwwww - are Cabbage Catch Kids making a come back? (Did they ever go away?) I remember queuing for one for my daughter (then aged 2) the first year they came out - he was bald with a dummy in a little sailor suit - his name was Ferdinand Jethro.

I've been making paper mache bowls with my boys. The outers are now painted green and red - gonna do the insides tomorrow - I've got gold paint to decorate and some Christmas stickers before we varnish. EXCITED

I am amazed at how far forward I am this year without really thinking Christmas too much

have had a few good  sales in my little Town and managed to pick up a few nice pressies along the way - cards and paper etc bought  and yesterday in Tesco stumbled across a lot of their party food on a silly price offer till Monday so freezer got well stocked up to avoid the Dec rush

Still waiting for my Christmas cards to arrive. Otherwise we'll be having a day out in Newcastle in a couple of weeks and if we see anything we like the look of.......... Mrs Jer and I piss in the same pot, so we tend to commit acts of kindness on each other rather than presents. Thus she will accompany me to see Dweezil, and I will go with her in an uncomplaining manner to see Norman Waterson and that Carthy lass. My mother is Christmas obsessed, so we have to go through all the lunch biz, and Mrs Jer and I open presents that we bought ourselves rather than each other. I hate Christmas, me.
