The grandchildren are all sorted, the parents are sorted, sisters sorted. Nativity scene made. Have done a couple of trial runs of this years sweety offering (chocolate covered salted caramels), just waiting for mini cupcake cups and presentation boxes to arrive and I'll start on them.

Spoke to a girl yesterday who makes angels from mop heads, a bit like corn dollys. She had the head from a ping pong ball, then tied the thread around, then made the wings from sparkly tape. I thought of Summer , i am sure she could make them

I've spent this evening trialling cupcake recipes to give out as Christmas niceness.

 

 

I've been you tubing Christmas table decorations to make. Anyone got any good ideas? This really is very unlike me TBH - I usually leave it all till the last minute.

To make yourself Sooz? Ooooh

Snowflakes? Holly leaves? A little garland? Candles with gingham/tartan ribbons on? Pine cones?

A wine glass filled with candy canes?

Actually I think I've decided on  a couple of small sweet trees on an oblong plate  with nolly etc. And a candle stick in the middle.

Trying to find a pic of something similar to the angel i mentioned. best i can find, hers are better, but will give you an idea.This one looks a bit raggy, hers were very well done

I popped in m&s tonight for some tea and discovered a christmas section! It's beautiful! There's some lovely decorations, great gift ideas and some retro games

Sweet, I have seen these candles being recommended for a lovely real fire smell.

I've made some brilliant little stocking cutlery holders for the christmas table. So far I've made 6 - we have 12 for dinner I'm undecided wether to do 12 stockings or 6 stockings and 6 little santa jackets.

I went to Dobbies earlier and now I am totally in Christmas mode. I was thinking about how excited Sweet would be wandering around in there. I bought Christmas smelling pine cones, a Merry Christmas door mat, loads of fairy lights, a lit candle thingy to go in the window, and little baubles with the grand children's names on them.

 

Just about to get ready and go in to town to visit Fenwicks window.  Will post pictures later.
