I've just flicked through... I need a good hour or two to set the telly box for everything I want to see - it's harder than a shift a work!

Tell me about it. Trying to make sure things don't clash etc etc.

I'm lucky because we have a recording box downstairs and in the bedroom, so I record my stuff upstairs and Mr & Master C record their stuff downstairs.

I just upgraded to Tivo from V+ - the deal was they'd put the V+ in another room, but I don't watch telly in bed, so i've got them on the telly stand in the living room.  The problem is the same remote works them both.. I've a CD box that I slide back and forth to cover the remote sensor on the one I'm not using.  Ingenious huh?

I got a shock yesterday though - it told me I didn't have space for something I was trying to record (and it's only 9% full.   On investigation I've got Grey's Anatomy series linked to record everything and Sky Living seem to be showing old ones for about three days straight.  I didn't quite mean THAT much of everything!

Normally I don't care either   Trouble is, they've all left home now, so are all coming back for a few days, and I just know there'll be carnage unless I take the initiative and record the stuff for them.  The idea of them all faffing on Christmas morning over what's what is something I just can't face.

And besides, I'll be barking orders at them to help me by then!

Can't believe we're into single figures countdown for the Big Day

See, I really don't believe that for one minute: 5 Christmas trees including a naffantastic singing, snowing one, and knowing you 20/30 for Christmas lunch..... if ever times get hard and I get stuck, I'm inviting myself to yours Be Warned!

Supes   You're welcome here anytime.

(*wonders if Supes knows where I live?* )

I really have struggled to get festive this year.  Maybe it's because the inmates have all finally up and left - no test runs, no returns   I'd be spitting feathers by now if I hadn't had some help up 'til now.  Probably would have stood the OH in the corner and decorated him with some appropriate baubleage

I'll be fine once I've had a proper assault at drop of Crimble grog

What's wrong with them for a stocking filler, Erin?

Bit of ribbon for added zsush, and they're good to go

I can cook, do convivial and can party! But, most of all, I don't get stressed (Although, I might if I had your lot to look after!) *Wonders if Cos' knows where I live if she ever wants to run away*

Sorry what was that?

I was just finding it funny that people all worry about recording (including my OH, who panicked for a Tivo box) stuff on TV, that we will all be moaning about cos it is repeated all the time........sorry, it was slightly funny in my head but lost its humour through the keyboard

I think you should seriously consider swapping places with me - that'll be me sorted nicely in time for Crimbo

Your home is safe though (nice idea btw ) as I think I'd head straight for Gatwick.  Wonder if Santa gives lifts? Now there's a thought.

I'm still sitting at the table when Her Maj blesses us, so I've not seen her doing her speech either.

You could always add some stars and glittery bits inside the box.  They'll look even more festive, and give the recipient some hoovering to do before lunch

I hate when I get them so I would never do that to someone.

I have a friend that fills her Christmas cards with all that crap and I open her card over the sink.I don't know why she sends me cards she knows I hate the ruddy things
