I just upgraded to Tivo from V+ - the deal was they'd put the V+ in another room, but I don't watch telly in bed, so i've got them on the telly stand in the living room.  The problem is the same remote works them both.. I've a CD box that I slide back and forth to cover the remote sensor on the one I'm not using.  Ingenious huh?     

I got a shock yesterday though - it told me I didn't have space for something I was trying to record (and it's only 9% full.   On investigation I've got Grey's Anatomy series linked to record everything and Sky Living seem to be showing old ones for about three days straight.  I didn't quite mean THAT much of everything!

Normally I don't care either   Trouble is, they've all left home now, so are all coming back for a few days, and I just know there'll be carnage unless I take the initiative and record the stuff for them.  The idea of them all faffing on Christmas morning over what's what is something I just can't face.

And besides, I'll be barking orders at them to help me by then! 

See, I really don't believe that for one minute: 5 Christmas trees including a naffantastic singing, snowing one, and knowing you 20/30 for Christmas lunch..... if ever times get hard and I get stuck, I'm inviting myself to yours Be Warned!

And we all moan about 'Repeats'......

Missed out on Soap and Glory star buy today it was going for £27 its usually £60.

Picked up this for a stocking filler but I am now having second thoughts,I thought they looked quirky but now I don't know.

I really have struggled to get festive this year.  Maybe it's because the inmates have all finally up and left - no test runs, no returns   I'd be spitting feathers by now if I hadn't had some help up 'til now.  Probably would have stood the OH in the corner and decorated him with some appropriate baubleage

Actually that last joke works better in 'actual verbal' conversation.

I'm a sod for that.  If someone uses the word repeat in a sentence I try my best to get them to say (repeat the sentence) as many times as I can.

 I've been told there's loads in boots in town but I'm not heading to town til Thursday or friday so I'm hoping they're still there!

I was just finding it funny that people all worry about recording (including my OH, who panicked for a Tivo box) stuff on TV, that we will all be moaning about cos it is repeated all the time........sorry, it was slightly funny in my head but lost its humour through the keyboard 

I've never, ever watched the tele' on Christmas Day. This Christmas is going to be a bit of a quieter one, so I'm wondering if I may get to see the Queen's speech for the first time in 52 years?...Probably not!

My parcel arrived!! Well 2 did actually but one of them was the one i was panicking about

 my men would like that! I might make them a bacon and sausage nativity on Christmas morning.

I've had a result, yay!  

Local greengrocer peels, chops, slices, dices and all round generally preps whatever veg you want for Crimbo   Everything is then vacuum sealed and fresh as a fresh thing - all I've got to do is cook the stuff.

I've no idea why I've never thought of doing this before
