I've got my kids sorted aswell (well still a few things to get the 10 year old but I'm struggling to think of anything!) and nothing for anyone else except my Godchildren so I really need to get a move on.  My least favourite part though is the clothes shopping which I will start tomorrow.

I think I will start wrapping tonight aswell with some wine.  Any excuse for the wine

The mantle part (is that right?  I call it the surround) is very similar to mine.  It was mahogany when the housing put it in, I just painted it.  Really need to either paint my mirror to match or just get a new one.

I don't mind the design of it, it's just the colour tbh ours is a bit too orangy compared to all my other furniture.

Nah, I hate mahogany.  I love lighter wood.

The darker wood helps to generate a focal point to the room.

It frames the lightness of the fire.

I prefer light woods for the dining area

Oh I say!

Who cares what colour it is as long as it has CHRISTMAS LIGHTS ALLLLLL OVER IT!!

I'm a bit excited now!!!

Hold your tongue young lady

*offers slap to counteract delerium caused by Crimble*

This really happened today in MORRISSONS...

"Can i have 10 lucky dips on seperate bits of paper?"

They are for Xmas cards fillers.

"No - i finish in a minute and can you see the queue behind you"

Can I have a scratchcard instead?

That's what I normally do for everyone, and put it in a wee small envelope with a coin ad they 'scratch' after dinner

I only have to buy Mr woos's pressie from my mum, and my daughter is choosing her main pressies for me to buy then that's it!!!!

I've never, ever been so organised................bloomin amaaazin. Most of it wrapped as well! I'll probably continue buying little bits and bobs for the boys every time I'm out though.

Made a gorgeous garland for the fireplace tonight - really took my time over it - looks fab!

I'm like sooz ... so organised this year.

I have all my presents apart from one friend, mother and father in law and hubby.

I spent ÂĢ93 today on a new outfit to wear on Christmas Day, which hubby can give me for Christmas!!

Everything is wrapped, cards are done and posted.

The only thing that hasn't been done is that the Baileys hasn't been opened yet

Rexi

Trees still to go up and a garland to be done for the kitchen but ....................I'm really looking forward to doing it on Friday after I pick the boys up from school (we'll assemble it and get the lights on Thursday night) - It's reception classes nativity on Friday too ......my Jacks a shepherd - must remember to pack my tissues.

It really is beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Won't be proper though till my boy gets here from Manchester either Friday 21st or Sat 22nd - that's when it gets going!

Aww I seem to have left it too late to order my 6 year old a box of match attax cards....they're all either out of stock (the reasonably priced ones) or people are ripping the arse out of the prices and I refuse to give in to them.

I'll have to go ask my newsagent tomorrow if he can sell me a box.....hopefully he's in a good mood because it's the one thing my wee one has asked for as his 'main' present.

Had a days shopping in York yesterday and came home with: one pack of Christmas cards! Up until about 2 hours ago the only thing I'd bought was a kindle for my sis' and this evening I've got just about everything on line  Seems that this year is mostly the year of the Barbour/Olney tweed hat for the girls and the Saville Rogue cashmere football scarf for the boys...good job that the recipients live far and wide and/or support different football teams!  Oh and I got this as one of the presents for my friend's dog loving son, made me LOL
