You always know when summer is over because the shops are stacked, floor to ceiling, with tins of Quality Street etc on special offer.  You go into the shop on a Friday and think 'Oh, I must take advantage of this offer, get a tin and put it away for Christmas'.  A couple of hours later the lid is off and you're sitting on the sofa surrounded by chocolate wrappers, rummaging through through the tin looking for the last green triangle etc.

(Not that I have ever done this, you understand)

 It's true, we do!

When I went to see the garden centre's Christmas stuff, I think I may have said to hubby, "Summer would like that", on more than one occasion.

I actually said "Oh Sweet" to my mum whilst looking at the Christmas Display at Burford Garden Centre last weekend ... I think she thought I was being cool!!
