I like her voice, she is a really nice woman and she has talent and the new makeover suits her but I refuse to get into this hype about her, yes she is good but there are also other talented people on BGT so I think all this hysteria about her even though is well deserved a bit unfair on the talent we have yet to see and looks like she's won the show already which I think is wrong. ITV and BGT only have themselves to blame though. She'll get far but I would rather see other talent first without all this hype about her.

Yes all over the net, try the Mirror etc . Apparently it was her decision but i'm not fooled because Simon Cowell and his cronies wanted her to do it.
Well she has had her hair trimmed and rinsed, and those brows plucked and shaped. More of a mimi makeover, she organised herself. I agree though Darlo, seems to be quite the thing, in the media, to seize upon an indiviual and blow them out of proportion.
It just looks like she's changed her clothes. She lives near me so I like all they hype, but agree, it's ridiculous.
Before and after
She has a great voice, but I prefer the street dancers Flawless and Diversity.

I think Fabia Cerra will win this year.

Totally I do think it's unfair on the other contestants who must be thinking what is the point if she probably already has it won. But i'm hoping there will be loads to challenge her.
the only challenge that poor woman will have is to find various ways of trying to get out of simons greedy clutches

True . In a way that might benefit the other contestants if she wins as they won't be his cashcow as he'll move on to the next person.

I think all of those lads are inspiring and hopefully, kids will see them as role models and aspire to be like them.

Totally . They are certainly proving the Medias perception of young people wrong so good on them.
fed up of seeing her in the papers everyday

Me too, she even has her own section on the Mirror away from the BGT section .
I've read that there is a pizza delivery man on this week who shocks everyone with his voice, he also sings a song from les miserables.
I think they are putting someone 'exceptional' on every week to keep us watching

It was on the news the other day that she was approached by the producers to do the show , she just didnt decide to audition...FIX
Anyone else thinks she looks just a wee bit like Sharon Osbourne after her make over

I think Susan Boyle has a good voice but agree with posters who feel she has been over-hyped by the media. My favourite act, so far, has been Diversity, who were brilliant.

I haven't bought a national newspaper for over 30 years.

I think she is great..i get goose pimples everytime i hear her..sad huh..
Me too, so that makes us two saddos.
I can understand why many people are fascinated by the sudden fame of Susan Boyle.
But simply regarding her voice alone, I`m afraid it is not the kind of voice I like.
There is far too much vibrato-o-o-o-o-o- for my taste. I don`t got for all that wobbling.

Me personally I don't get the hype of any of the acts. Especially Susan and the dance acts.

Very good voice in the context of a talent show but there are probably 5 of her in every professional opera and theatre. Like Paul Potts really. Classics for the masses on the back of a Saturday night TV thingy.
I like her, but she aint gonna win... she most likely wont even make the live shows. No matter, many other doors are opening for Susan right now.
She's ace.
Not often someone makes me cry with their singing, but Susan did god bless her!
She'll make some money out of all this and fair play to her.

this is exactly what i think, and also i don't see why people think it's a foregone conclusion that she'll win. i thought the dance acts were much ore original and entertaining.
mind you i don't really understand people's motivation to vote, because not many people would pay to go to the opera, so why would they vote for her to win this show?
is it some sort of weird logic that because someone is (shall i dare say it.. - yes) a bit ugly, we must vote sympathetically if they can sing a bit?
