Hi Prawn.

Maybe it's because people are going off it.. I know I am.  I mean, will there ever be a CBB that contains only people who are talented and who have achieved something?  I am sick to death of it being full of nobodies:  some NUTS magazine/playboy airheads in there, (who nobody has ever heard of, let's face it!)  and Nicola whatsername: I HATED her in IACGMOOH!  She says she only speaks up and speaks her mind 'when it warrants it.'  Who made her judge and jury?  It's not a POSITIVE trait to continually 'speak your mind:' people get hurt and offended and upset when people do that.

And as for the revolting 'Frankie nobody' who is famous ONLY for being absolutely SHIT, and the tramp that is only famous for shagging a footballer!  Do me a favour!  I find it an insult to the viewers' intelligence that they are putting people like this in, and calling them 'celebrities.'  And as for Romeo and the Irish model.  I have never heard of them.  The Romeo dude rattled on about his band (who had one hit was it?) like they were the bleeding Beatles, reeling off all these awards they supposedly had and how they have 'bought the t-shirt!'  So how come I have never heard of him, and can't name more than ONE of their hits?  And of course he had to waffle on about how he comes from a council estate with a single mum! BIG DEAL BOZO: you and 10 million others: you're nothing special!  He and Tulisa should get together (I come all the way from a council house in Camden me!)

Then there's the token gruff-voiced American who is not going to really get on that well with anyone and will turn out to be a bit bonkers.  TBH, I heard of the name 'Michael Madsen' but would not have recognised him if he was stood next to me in Tesco.  I couldn't have told you anything he was in either.

There's only Natalie and Denise who I would remotely consider as celebrities, and I am not massive fans of either of them.

Seriously, BB is pissing me off so much with the twats that they keep feeding us, that I'm not sure I want to stay with it anymore.

Yeah the create one thread for a show seems to have killed off anything else...

No way I am going to trawl thru an overnight of one long thread mainly full of chat stuff just looking for some info or a discussion topic. .I prefer proper threads being started that I can pick and choose to read depending on a title and join in if I have a point to make.. also I've found with various shows, when I have looked in on those long threads int he past,  a spoiler will occasionally appear [by accident  but still annoying] so now I stay out of them just in case..

for me all these long chatty sticky threads have killed the discussion part of the forum.. sorry peeps tis just the way I feel..

I think lack of livefeed from the house has killed off the making of threads. In the past we could watch either on the red button or on the internet and discuss things as they were happening. Now we have to wait for the HL show which of course is highly edited. There is a live twitter thread above tho, which is helpful.
It is still early doors tho, they have only just gone in. I am sure with that lot there will be lots to talk about

FM
I am watching it and think it may have potential ... But I think the lack of LF that has effectively cut off much of the discussion ... And of course we are now a much smaller forum now . However, i actually like the programme threads , which seem to allow for differing viewpoints without some the aggro that has sometimes erupted in the past .

I don't think the highlight thread is the cause of the lack of other threads,  Olly - it's only posted in during the show and I can remember a highlights thread existing when the general forum was busier.      IMO it's the lack of live feed that's doing it - I remember I used to come on at lunchtimes to find out what had been happening in the house - I miss that.    Love the highlight thread though.    I'm quietly optomistic for this run.

thing is Kaffy I understand lack of live feed meaning less to talk about but I used to like to see what others thought about the stuff going on and now it means I'd have to read a whole load of pages of chatter in the HL show thread in the morning, which I can't be assed to do, just to see what people are thinking. .and I like to watch a show not half watch and half read a thread at the same time.. so for me that's why I am not participating in the forums as much cos I like a discussion after the event not a, lets watch TV together and chat and miss half of what's going on cos I'm too busy try to type something not too full of typo's or catchup up with what everybody else is saying..

maybe I've just got too old for all this malarkey now. .I always turn the puter off when I want to concentrate on watching telly stuff..

I know what you mean about typing and watching Olly, I'm just saying that that always happened anyway - it's just that with nothing happening (or being shown to happen) throughout the day, that's where most of the chat is happening now.. it's not like it's being posting in at any other time other than when the show's airing really.     I think if and when anything that warrants discussion happens other threads might pop up in the main forum.   Let's hope so anyway.

I find it difficult post in the highlight threads  and trying to watch what is on telly at the same time ..I dont bother now, I do prefer seperate threads about different goings on in the house it makes it feel more like a BB forum,I do tend to read the threads in DS when BB is on it reminds me more of the old days on CH4 forum quite a few members that never made the move here or left here are posting over there anyways..

 Marg ...... Happy New Year!

I am the same about the highlight threads - they're fun to participate in ....but I just can't keep up and watch TV at the same time ...and I do try, but never really manage to keep up or contribute much   I like the separate threads a lot as it makes the forum more interesting.

I've joined DS as well - it reminds me a lot of the "old days"

Oh wow, I thought it was just me.  I am not too keen on trying to keep up with the HL thread either.  It's Ok now and again, but I do find it a battle sometimes when it moves fast, and quite a few peoples posts don't get answered (and it's not deliberate...it's just so fast-moving.)

I prefer seperate threads when something interesting has happened.

I can`t always keep up with HL thread either, it`s a bit too fast moving for me but I try... and fail more often than not..   I enjoy following/ reading the banter though.  Great fun - great bunch of peeps!

I`m the same with the XFactor and Strictly.  I miss half the programme reading the thread, thinking about what I`m going to say...by the time I type it it`s usually moved on to the next page.

Start threads - that`s the solution!

In saying that - last BB lots of clip threads were posted and not many commented although I`m sure they were watched.  That was a wee bit disappointing.

Lets all join in and make this a good one!

I agree Scotty....... and while I admit I don't always comment , I do read all the threads  and I appreciate everyones hard work in bringing clips and Twitter feed to us

Baz

Yep, start new threads!

As has been said, the HL thread is a general chit-chat about various things that are happening as they appear on the edited show.  The Twitter thread is much more detailed and explanatory (thank goodness!) and is where the real info is listed - it's a pity there's no live feed though.

If you watch the edited main show there should be a few bits and pieces to pick the bones out of, so make a thread and discuss whatever it is that's bugging/annoying/interesting to you.
