Excellent

You can post a link to the full size image for Jen if you so wish. It's one of the options in the list, just cut and paste the address into the post rather than seldcting the insert picture option as you did to post this picture. Sorry if I'm telling you to suck eggs.

Nice little website for quick picture posts isn't it.

This is my newly refurbished Butz Choquin full bent.

The repairer said it probably hadn't been stamped as Butz Choquin because of all the filler in the wooden bowl that they probably wouldn't want to put their  name to it - the cheek !!!

But he's made a wonderful job and now it looks beautiful.

I'm convinced its a French pipe cos its so similar to the type they make.

Same here Saint  My favourite uncle, Gus, smoked a pipe.

I've never liked being around smokers, even cigar smokers, but I do not have that issue with pipe smoke for some reason. I wish more people switched from cigarettes and cigars over to pipes.

I guess Saint is best placed to explain pipe smoke and why I am OK with it. My grandad was a pipe smoker too.

Well i aint no expert . . .

Cigarettes i belive are based mostly on Virginia tobacco which has its own sweetness and a classic 'tobacco' taste/smell designed to give you a nicotine 'hit'.

Pipe smoking is totally different - the idea is to smoke s-l-o-w-l-y and let the flavours develop through the bowl ... and it does develop.

And the tobaccos are very different - there are soooo many different types. Its staggering, i never realised how many there are ... thousands.

And then there is how they are stored, heated, pressed, and mixed.

Taste is everything with pipe smoking - in cigarettes, its not.

No, our Sunday mornings consist of us over sleeping, then as much noisy sex we can fit in before the boy wakes up.  Then we cook and eat lunch, then we go back to bed for quieter sex in the afternoon.

Don't know why but I never had you down as a pipe smoker.

When the no smoking ban came in we had a pipe smoker who lit up in our bar. his defence was he wasn't smoking .

It's a trying to rain (unsucessfully), but that will never stop me.

I am taking my tablet so hopefully get a bit of GGJJ time.

Probably bump into a friend - who knows what the topic of conversation will be today.

I'm not quite awake... I was wondering if you were ill.

I've been up almost an hour... just had a croissant... about to shower and pimp up the flat again for a second viewing at 1 p.m.

Lol - no, not ill, but one forgets the dual use of some words - not to self, must qualify the ambiguities.

Hope the viewing goes well

Got my son and his partner home for the weekend. They're regaling me with the best ever concerts they've been to.

It's a toss up between Kylie Showgirl tour, Spice Girls reunion but apparently Girls Aloud always put on a good show

ETA .....just bought a rather nice little dress on e bay for the summer.
