And is it always a roast on Sunday, Aimee?
Maaaan! this fred has proper made me howl and I'm sitting in one of the training rooms on my own having my dinner!!
To get back to the OP, No, I don't normaly have a Sunday dinner as there's only me and I CBA On the odd occasion I'm invited out with my Auntie and Uncle, it has to be pork with the trimmings every time Mmmmmm.
I also like lamb, but normally have a chop with new potatos and mushy peas, and that's through the week for my tea.
I've also never cooked lamb and I'm not sure if I've ever ate it. I wouldn't buy it to cook it coz it's just a baybee!! But if someone had made it for me then I'd give it a go
I don't make Sunday roasts very often at all (terrible Mother, I am!!) mostly because my OH and youngest don't eat potatoes or veg so it's just handier (if I want a roast on Sundays) to order from the place in town that does them for take away/delivery.
I am making roast stuff chicken fillet today though because I had bought it to make for Sunday but I was suffering from terrible lazyitis yesterday and couldn't do it. The partner and youngest can have something else
Ells you never had lamb!!! But its the main ingredient in Irish Stew
I feel worse eating pork... pigs are intelligent + friendly animals Apparently when you stroke their backs, their corkscrew tails uncurl If only I wasn't such a greedy guts carnivore...
Rog we make our stew with minced beef.....I think we'd call the lamb version more of a 'stove spuds' dish. Also, when I visit the Eurospar I usually bring my eldest back a tub of pre-made 'Irish stew' which is always made from beef chunks. Not sure why we use beef though.
Aye, right enough Ells, there's no set recipe for it ... I like the lamb version best though
The mince version was what we always had growing up... lamb would have been waaay too expensive.
Tesco do three for a tenner on meat... I blame that for my carnivore ways
Love the sound of the pear Hope you're having a fab time.
