Have a great day!
[this was yesterday .... sorry for the delay in posting ]
Hope she goes from strength to strength.
Hi everyone. Been awhile since I have been here. Thanks for starting this thread. Sube is kind of in a holding pattern for a bit, until they patch some holes and get some of her vitals into a better range. Thanks for all the words of support and prayers. She and I both appreciate them. Enjoy the weekend and hug someone close to you.
thanks for popping in Scott - hope everything continues to go well for Sube and make sure you look after yourself too

Susan Update - This has been a very busy day for Susan. She walked about 30 feet. She also sat up in the chair about 7 hours without Bipap. She is exhausted and asleep. She is taking this whole rehab thing seriously. Every day is a new day. Thanks for thinking and praying for her.
what a trooper !!!
My thoughts and prayers are with them.
Sounds like she is doing well!

ahhh, brilliant! Keep up the good work, Sube!
Sounds like Sube is making a good recovery.
Best wishes to Sube and Sbevis.
Quick update before work... I'm afraid Sube has had a bit of a setback..
Susan update - Well, this update will be a little understated with fill in the blank tendendies. Susan had a few setbacks yesteday evening, which resulted in being intubated and sedated. Jumping to the conclusion of the story, it looks like they will be performing a tracheostomy (or is it tracheotomy). Let's go with trache. She is heavily sedated and they are working to get her numbers straightened out. These doctor's are on their game and believe that she will be back on the path soon. She is a tough bird and I think she is going to be all right. Cary and Gretchen Sutton, and Jeff and Alisha Roth came and visited today. Thanks for the prayers and the uplift.
We're all rooting for her Scott xxx
I hope it's just a little blip and Susan is soon back on her way to a complete recovery.
Sorry things have taken a step backwards... but hopefully SuBe will soon be on the road to full recovery again. My thoughts are with you both
Susan update - 5 mins ago
I missed last nights update, sorry.
She is adapting to the trach. Lungs are doing well, but a little air behind one. Things are jumping today! Stay tuned for more Susan to come.
Glad to hear things are improving.
Thanks MrsH. x
Warm wishes to SuBe and Scott x
20th November
Susan - Update Susan and I both had busy days today. She breathed on her own for an hour with the machine on backup only. She sat in the chair for going on 4 hours. Things are starting to go forward. Troy brought the RV up for people to crash in. There is now a bed within three blocks waiting to be slept in. Big Woo Hoo! Thanks Troy! Eliazbeth left with Troy and Chris is coming back tonight. Did I mention how grateful I am to them for their support? Toni Parks and Jaimie Rheaume came up and saw Susan and took me out to dinner and a cupcake for dessert. Good times! Thanks to everyone of you for the support, love and caring that you have shown. We will forever be in your debt.
21st November
Susan Update - Susan had a really good day to day. She regained the ability to write with pen and paper. That really helps to understand what she is communicating. Susan got moved to a corner suite facing Forrest Park. Great view of the park! Chris and I shared Tory and Elizabeth Bevis Angellys RV, taking turns sleeping on the couch. WOW! Good times. Have I mentioned what great kids I have? Denise and Marsha came up and visited. It was nice to have company from Harrisburg again. Thanks! Again for everyone around the world who is praying, thinking of Susan and sending well wishes, DON"T STOP! What you are doing is working. We love you all. Now, get some sleep, I am going to.
22nd November
Susan update - Another good day for Susan. Xray is in there taking her nightly chest Xray. They do that about 9:00 to 10:00 at night now. Said they used to do it at about 4:00 am but got to many complaint cards turned in. Can't figure out why. She will have a bronchoscopy and an ultrasound tomorrow. Another fun filled day in the city. We are living the fruits of our prayers. Life is good. Goodnight.
24th November
Susan-update. Susan has changed rooms again. She is now in an ICU that is all about getting her ready to have the trache removed. She seems to be in a good mood. Elizabeth spent the night and today so Chris and I could work today. Happy thanksgiving to all over here. For all those that are around the world, enjoy the day and hug someone. More to come later. Nite.
25th November
Susan Update - Today was a good day at the hospital. She is back on track to get the ventilator removed. We certainly do have a lot to be thankful for. I spoke with a lady today who said that the Lord has never made a body that couldn't be healed. Wow! Susan will be at this address for at least 3 weeks.

Enjoy the weekend.
Today
Susan Update - Susan is bedded down for the night. Our night nurse is from Makanda. We didn't have to explain where Harrisburg was to him. Susan did 2 hours breathing over her Ventilator. Score 0, which means zero effect on her heart. Top score possible. Those nontrads know how to bust the curve. Hope everyone has a good weekend. Get out and do something before it gets too cold. Hug someone. Goodnight.
Thanks to Scott for the daily updates
Thanks for posting the updates, MrsH.
I'm so pleased that everything is going well.
Best wishes to Susan and Scott. xx
Best Wishes too both of you
awww Scott... I have just had to have a mega catch up as haven't been online much due to a cold (which in the grand scheme of what you guys are going through sounds sooo trivial)..
Glad Susan is bouncing back.. as I have said before, respect & love to you both xx
YAY! It's looking better and better
Thanks to everyone who has replied and sent thoughts and prayers. You are all in our thoughts as well. We are so happy to have the opportunity to meet and get to know so many of you.
Here is the latest update.
Susan Update - Today was a work day for Susan. She walked, and did 4 hours PVS time on the ventilator. After having a stint inserted into her Gall Bladder yesterday, the pain a and swelling went down measurably. Things are going much smoother today despite a tough headache that lasted most of the day. Susan would like to thank everyone for the cards, phone calls, visits, prayers and well wishes.
I would like to add that I appreciate the continued support so many of you continue to show me, and my family.
Hello my dears.
I'm so glad you pop in here for folk like me who don't do FB. I've been thinking of the two of you. I'm so happy Sue's recovery is on track! What I can wish for you I do with my heart.
Love to Sue, from the woman bearing scorpions!
