I just forgot which way round i hold my knife and fork..... no matter how much i swapped from hand to hand i just felt cack-handed
Does this happen to anyone else from time to time? or forgetting how to spell really simple words you spelled loads of time before?

Phone messages! The OH's brother will ring up and ask for the OH, I'll say he's in the bath or just away to the shop and he'll ask me to tell the OH to ring him back ASAP. OH will walk in the door less than 5 minutes later and I'll have forgotten about the phone call. Then a few hours later I get the whole 'why didn't you give me that message??' carry on.... what message????

Names, especially in quizzes, I can see their faces, recall things they have been in or said...........and the more I try to remember, the more I remember about them but cannot for the life of me remember their bliddy name!
It's odd how we can forget the day-to-day stuff, but have total recall for song lyrics!

You know that actor, he used to be in, you must remember that show, it was set in that city where they, and there was also so and so, she used to be in it too. Oh you remember her, she was in Corrie etc etc

ummm, yes, several times....and all the while trying very hard not to get very angry with "said friend" for being so stupid for not being able to remember the name of the person I so eloquently described
