And that Pierce Brosnan.
And why can't that Noreen spell her name properly?
Hi PeterC - PMSL Nice one...
Penny Gabrielwise, I have you on ignore from a previous encounter with you and haven't been reading any of your comments, I just noticed this one when Fracas quoted it so just to stop any confusion;
It's the 3rd one down, there is a listening feature and everything to help you out.

Fracas I really don't have anything against English people or England, but I just totally disagree with the Royals.
So do I, come the revolution, up against the wall, bang bang bang.
BUT the point I'm making IP is that your posts are always strongly pro-Irish and self-righteous and, whether you know it or not, anti-English. They are. Look at the reaction to this thread. Jeez, you even got uppity about abusive Catholic priests, indefensible.
Calm it down a bit, open your mind, things aren't as black and white as you see them.

Oh! I didn't realise we were fake ignoring! You know, the kind of ignoring where you reply to the posts of the people you totally have on ignore, as opposed to the kind where you just don't bother.quote:Originally posted by Irish-Princess:

Poor Linda Nolan is still waiting for your apology, Nyam
Oh, and before you stick me back on pretendy not speaking terms again, could you tell me how to pronounce Oisin and Tir-na-nOg. That'll give me so much insight into your Nyamness.
I also remember a thread on GBBF where you were saying that English soldiers deserved to die because they were fighting for the Queen and British politicians. So you ARE anti-English Niamh, and you do it without shame.

Very interesting site, but it also proves the point that different cultures and languages change existing names to suit their own cultures.
For example, Sile or Sheelagh coming from the Latin name Cecilia, or Siobhan being the Irish form of the name Joan.
Also, the Irish names themselves appear to have alternative spellings in Ireland.
whatever tickles your pickle ,whats in a name

Seriously, 50% of the names this year are just silly and some of them seem made up or are similar to other names but spelt different't to be different. Really grinds my gears.
Suffia- Sophia?
Ciaroin- Ciaran/Kieran
etc etc
It's Saffia and it's pronounced Sa-Fire, not Sophia.
it's Cairon and it's pronounced Ky-Ron, not Kieren, Ciaran etc.
They are unique, individual names... Not made up or 'fake' names...
Is it not Kye-Ron?
S'what I said... Ky-Ron Shhh! lol
