I met my sister yesterday for early evening drinks.  When we got home, Mr C & I decided it would be a brilliant idea to go out and play in the snow.  Moral of the story at 41, don't think you can still play in the same way you did when you were a child.  Woke up this morning with a very painful rib cage and a knee that is so badly sprained I can't put and weight on it or straighten it. 

 

Arghhhhh but it was great fun

Lucas Daniel

My mate has a wee one named Lucas.  It took a while to get used to (first baby I knew with the name) but it really suits him.  Daniel is my eldest's middle name so of course that is an amazing name

 

Picking a name for a baby is bloody stressful.  Next time I'm doing a lottery and whoever gets the bonus ball is going to have to name the child.

Awwwwww congrats Cinds - I love new babies.

 

I'm off to visit a new(ish) baby girl (and her mum and sister) in a minute.

 

She was born at the end of November and called Bethany. Her mum worked for us for years - lovely girl. I'm looking forward to a lovely cuddle - nothing like it IMO.

I'm already booked in to babysit next Monday as the new Grandmother is going in to hospital for a procedure and the new Mother wants to be with her, and apparently I'm the only one she trusts to look after him.    ME!!

Cinds i hurt myself on Sat night too walking round the corner (down a bit of a hill) from my mates house, a little worse for where and went on my ankle My foot is a lot better today but i still haven't left the house since, hows your knee been?

Whilst doing an interim VAT count up I've been going through Spooky Wooks volume 4. It's a poor night on the tellybox tonight so we'll catch up on the last episode of Borgen. It's one of the better things on at the moment.

I can walk about now, albeit limping, but it's not just my knee my ribs down the right side are really stiff and painful.  I've left the house today for the first time, although it was only to get in to Mr C's car and then out of it to hobble in to the office.  Hope you become pain free very soon.

 

A friend of mine slipped on ice just before Christmas coming out of Homebase, her arm was smashed badly, bones sticking through the flesh etc.  Poor thing, she's always in the wars, I've told her I'm going to get her some stabilizers for her shoes.
