Joe.  It's strange how different days can make you remember things.  Mr C went through that horrible thing the other day when he mentioned that we really ought to pop round and see his parents, then horrible realisation hitting him.

the amount of times I teared up over the weekend...

The whole thing Kaffy. The royals, the bunting, the parades, the people....It just made me emotional. We're a divided country but we came together to celebrate the Queen...our Queen

...I still automatically reach to ring my dad about things, then it hits me I can't.I was going through my answering machine a few weeks ago deleting messages and fast forwarding ,next I heard my dads voice saying it's your dad ring me when you get home,an old message I'd missed but hearing his voice again, I sobbed for hours .

I know what you mean, Cagney - I'm not a mad Royalist or anything, but as the years go on  I like them more and more - hell, I even like Camilla.  There was a point on  the flotilla when the Queen saw the horse thing on then bank and she was looking around to grab Camilla's arm and point it out to her and I thought 'they're just a family like any other'    Not to mention all the footage of her when she was young and then Phil ending up in hozzie.. she looked like a little old widow woman (albeit in nice togs) standing on that balcony.

I loved that moment kaffy, and then them all having a little jiggle along to the music later on when they were back on shore.

They did offer help btw before they all went off to school/work and left me. I'm like Jekyll and Hyde. Good job my cat understands me and just a wee meow from her makes it all better

Is that the rant of a mad woman or what?

Innocuous enough I hear you say, but it was in capitals and the way the 'L' ran into the 'K' it made it look like an 'N'!

hahah !! We did the old stylee body wraps at work today .. if you're into bandage, this is for you

We have a caterers cling wrap what went wayward and I got hold of the bit that was stuck while he unravelled it and I did a bit of spinning. Nothing untoward happened.  Much to my chagrin

I rescued 2 bats yesterday

they were pipistrelle bats,...  I found them on the office floor (They had fallen through the ceiling).    I called the local Bat Group & they deployed the Bat Ambulance (seriously..  they actually did!!!)

I had called them Ren & Stimpy...     but I had a call from the bat people last night and apparently they are girl bats & are preggers.    They were dehydrated & very underweight (its a really really bad year for bats, because of the weather they are struggling to get enough insects to eat)...    Anyways..   they are going to feed them up a bit, and then in a few days we are meeting up again at work so we can rerelease them.

(oh...  and there is gonna be a licensed bat protection person come to look at the roost in the barn where I work.    I don't think the boss is gonna thank for me for this )

Here are some pics of them (I had been told to put them in a box, with a milk carton lid of water, and some soggy loo roll - for them to suck water out of)

Stimpy is having a drink...  Ren is eyeing up the bog roll:

Stimpy has drank her fill...    Ren is latching onto the bog roll:

REN LOVES HER SOGGY LOO ROLL!!!

CUTE AREN'T THEY!!!!!

Dirtyprettygirlthing

One word Ditty .......ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Sorry but bats make me go a bit funny - they make my skin creep. I see them like flying rats. Those pictures make me feel a bit - (just looked for a suitable smiley there isn't one)

I think this is the closest-

Well done you for taking care of them - I'd have been on my bike screaming if they'd have fallen through my ceiling!

Soozy Woo
