The young lad I got talking to was hilarious, and he was calling his female best mate 'you're a whore you're a whore' I said 'whoah there don't call her a whore..... (brief pause) ..call her a slut'.

She turned and laughed (thankfully) I gave her a massive hug and said I didn't mean it.  But her boy laughed for ages and kept saying that is the funniest thing I have heard in ages.

I'll buy him some 'real' pressies too but we decided to both buy some charity gifts for each other and the kids this year as we spend a small fortune on crap every year so a few quid out of the xmas fund for some charity gifts won't kill us.

That's lovely. I've so often thought about doing that ............i've never put my money where my mouth is though. You've got me thinking.

You can have a curry with NO syns if you use the cauliflower based curry recipe

1 Large cauliflower
Chicken Stock
Medium Curry Powder

Break florets and put in a pan, add enough chicken stock to cover. Cook until cauliflower is soft. Add a few spoons of curry powder and blitz. Keep tasting and adding curry powder (then blitzing) until you get the taste you like

I'd advise doing it in a small pot as I tried to make a bigger batch and it was disgusting whereas the smaller batch works for me every time!

 I.  You add in chicken or whatever you want.

I love curry with big chunks of chicken, onions, mushrooms and chillies.

(That's dinner for tomorrow sorted now that I've put myself in the mood for it)

Blonde moment BooBoo  I thought the caulie was a substitute for chicken

I will definately try the recipe

Thanks for the link, Ells.

A few years ago, I remember my mum asking my dad to buy a goat for her Christmas, and he thought she'd gone nuts. He did make a donation to the charity and bought her a "proper" present too.

It looks amazing.

I love the charity gift idea. Quite a lot of us do it now. I got my friend a penguin last year. She got me a snow leopard. I've also stopped sending Xmas cards. I figured I spend about ÂĢ30 on cards and stamps at Xmas so instead of that for the last 2 years I've given that money to animal charities. It's not much but I figure it's better spent on bedding and food for them rather than cards which are such a waste. We all wish each other Merry Xmas on FB and by text etc so no need for cards.
