7pm? That's way too early. I used to never be able to stay up past 11 but these days I'm not even tired at 1am but have to force myself to go to bed anyway.
I've been watching the home movies we made over the years of the boys. We started at xmas when my eldest was 6 and have filmed every xmas and birthday party and a few occasions inbetween since then. I love watching them, they make me blub
Done the same this afternoon. Came in soaked from our bike ride, sat in front of fire, and watched a couple of them. They go back to my son's second birthday, and now of course the youngest grandson is two.
I wish I had started mine when the eldest was a baby too Joe but we never started til he was 6. Love seeing my parents in them aswell. Lovely memories to have for when they're no longer here.

Yes! My Dad looked so young in them, and of course he has gone now.
Glad you have them then Joe, sometimes a picture just doesn't cut it when you need to see them again.
talking of photo's, i have just sorted through 4 albums putting photos in order and putting names on the back, i realised that my children wouldn't recognise my grandparents and older relatives,
now ........you all remember my lucky son?
He's on holiday in Cuba at the moment - due home tomorrow. He just rang to say that there is a hurricane alert - flights have been cancelled and he's there for an extra day and a half.
Now that's lucky (as long as the hurricane doesn't hit).
That's the problem with all-inclusives
That's the problem with all-inclusives
Too true .................at least it doesn't cost him anything to drink himself into oblivion until it passes though
Care Pathway.I have never heard of such a thing
Oooooh not liking the look of Hurricane Sandy heading for Cuba - hope my boy has battened down the hatches

Just watching on the news Soozy - hope he's ok
Shitty nights sleep again last night and I could go to bed now because I'm so tired but I've promised my mate I would have a girly night in with her and a few drinks as it's her wee brother's anniversary today so I would feel rotten cancelling on her now.
I am so grumpy when I don't sleep well. As the OH will no doubt agree with as he had to sleep on the sofa last night when I threw a wobbly because of his snoring
Emmerdale bosses have announced that four new characters will be joining the village this autumn.
Bernice Blackstock's lover, a new father-daughter duo and an old acquaintance of Rhona Goskirk have all been cast as fresh faces for the ITV1 soap.
First to arrive will be Rhona's wild friend from college Vanessa Woodfield, who has been tipped to shake up life at the vets' surgery.
Played by The Royal actress Michelle Hardwick, Vanessa is billed as a "self-assured party girl" who will be "like a breath of fresh air" when she arrives at the vets' practice.

While Vanessa is always up for a laugh, she is also plain-speaking and instantly clashes with Rhona's husband Paddy.
Hardwick commented: "As a local girl and a fan of the show, Emmerdale is my dream job. After only two days, I am starting to feel at home already and Vanessa is such a fun character. I can't wait to see what's in store for her."
Next to turn up in the Dales is Bernice's charismatic lover Steve Harland, portrayed by Scottish-born actor Tom Mannion.
Show chiefs have said that Steve is a passionate and optimistic man, but "the qualities that attracted him to Bernice - her energy, spontaneity and quirkiness - may be the very things that end up driving him mad".
Mannion enthused: "I'm really looking forward to the adventure that is Emmerdale."

Meanwhile, mechanic Dominic Andrews and his wayward teenage daughter Gemma are also on the way to Emmerdale.
Waking The Dead actor Wil Johnson has been cast as Dominic, who is still finding his feet as a single dad. Gemma, meanwhile, is played by 14-year-old Tendai Rinomhota.
Johnson said: "I can't wait to get started. I am looking forward to an exciting journey. I've been told anything could happen with my character."
Emmerdale's series producer Stuart Blackburn added: "It's an exciting new season for Emmerdale and we are delighted to welcome Michelle, Tom, Wil and Tendai to the cast."
Hardwick and Mannion have already filmed their first scenes, while Johnson and Rinomhota begin shooting within the next few weeks.
Aww well done to you and your lad Cinds 8lbs that's really good!
Well done Cinds ...........great wight loss - new wardrobe for Christmas?
And well done to your boy - that's great news.
Well done on both achievements Cinds
Thank you. I'm very pleased at both the boy and my trimmer butt.
Talking of asses, look what Mr Cinds made for the grandboy yesterday. He's so pleased he's off buying more pumpkins to carve.
Very artistic job there from Mr Cinds !
I have my pumpkin bought... but haven't dared carve it yet.
SO glad we don't have to carve turnips any more, like when we were kids. They were rock hard.
I love Halloween and might do a thread next week if no-one else does
It's great isn't it. He's sitting in the office carving his next masterpiece now. He's even been to our electrical suppliers and bought bulbs and fittings to put inside instead of candles
Anyway, I'll save those for your Halloween thread. You should start it now, it's only 5 days away.

Allright Cinds - you twisted my arm

That's a very good pumpkin there Cinds @ the bulbs and stuff. Why do men always do that? start doing something and then really get into it and have to go further than anyone else?

OOOOOH do you think that might also apply if I told Mr C and ex-lover was better than him?
To all you people who told me it was the fizz in my vodka that made me get hungoverYOU LIE!!!!!!
I drank vodka and dilute and I'm hanging by a thread today.
I've got a real phobia about disembodied heads.. they really creep me out. I'm having serious problems with the Costa advert to the tune of 'i was made for loving you' that has all the little heads in coffee beans.
Really? *Goes off to 'Ad-watch' to see what Kaffy's on about. *
This one. Creepy
Kaffers That's horrid
Who's a silly-billy then?
Just spoke to my son - he's on his way to the airport (at last) - he just told me it was pretty hairy the other night - some of the hotel windows went in Although flights were going in yesterday afternoon he wasn't able to get an airport transfer as the roads were all blocked.
I joked with him that he'd be OK as he was all inclusive etc. - he said everything has been limited/rationed as deliveries/supplies couldn't get in.
Think he'll be glad to get home - hopefully around 11am tomorrow.
Mmmmmmmmmmmm (on the nachos)
I'm hungry
Ouch!
