My sister has just been for a visit - her husband belongs to this film club thing where you get the opportunity to purchase 'some' premiere tickets.I've begged her to get him to look into it for me .........................that would be FAB! I think it premieres on Jan 10th (my 37th wedding anniversary).

Nicola Wheeler has spoken about the upcoming Emmerdale Live episode, saying that the cast was "devastated" to find out about the death of a major character.
Talking to OK, Wheeler - who plays Nicola King - said that it was a shock to find out which of the soap's main characters would bow out permanently during the 40th anniversary celebrations.

"We were devastated when we found out who it was," she added.
Wheeler also admitted that she is nervous about the implications of the episode being broadcast live.
"Sometimes if I forget a line, I swear," she said. "I'm terrible for that. Obviously I can't do that on live TV. That would be really bad."
Earlier today, a new teaser video was released showing the soap's stars discussing next week's live episode.
Emmerdale's anniversary celebrations air all next week on ITV1. Emmerdale Live airs on Wednesday, October 17 at 7pm.

I've just come back from Edinburgh (went to see Phantom of the Opera)   Why is it necessary to totally trash all areas of the city at the same time in the name of improvements?    Road 'system' is non existent - a taxi journey to the station which should have been about five minutes took about 15... both stations are covered in hoardings and there's building work everywhere.    It's a nightmare.   Do one bit, finish it, then start another...

Did you enjoy it? I was a little disappointed when I saw it in spite of the rave reviews - funnily enough I really loved Love Never Dies which got crap reviews and didn't run for too long.

Hi Erin, Soozy - we loved it.     i saw it years ago when it was up here - tbh, I think the production and effects were a bit better last time, but the performances were really good.    Could have done without being dumped at the end of Princes Street in the pi$$ing rain though because the taxi driver thought that was a better option than driving an extra couple of  miles to get inside Waverley Station.  Stupid taxi didn't have a ramp either (my sis has gammy joints) so getting in and out of the taxi was a bit of a mare for her.

CINDY, you're almost . . . ok!!!

Shame you're friend to the right lost her dress.

You should get out more if you think that's a skimpy dress!

I thought it was a slip !!!!

My neighbours never fight.  That must mean that we're the noisy neighbours who fight too much

Jen, I hated mother and toddler groups.  There was always one wee bugger who took all the other kids toys and pushed them around and the mother would sit there drinking tea ignoring them.  And don't get me started on other people's kids coming near me with snotty noses and sticky hands

Sorry but I'm in a mood today and don't like other people's kids at the best of times

I went with my 2 a lot aswell only because they loved it and it prepared them for nursery school too as after a while they'd extend the parents break time and teach the kids that even though we were gone we were still coming back for them.  Hated the chit chat with people who assumed we're all the same because we've got small kids   But I did like a few of the people and would still stop and chat today when I see them.
