I've went to Morrisons' this morning but I don't fancy anything I bought.

I treated myself to some M&S food ...and right now I'm trying hard NOT to tuck into some vanilla cheesecake

Well I am not amused at all!  They didn't give me my £10 discount and they substituted Dohertys frozen sausages for Tesco value ones!

Ells that's one of the reasons I stopped doing online grocery shopping.  I hated the substitutes they made, plus I felt that they just grabbed at the first thing that came to hand and slung it in the basket, whereas I like to have a good old fondle of my fresh produce.

I hate when they do that Ells. Who wants value sausages  Get in touch with them to get your tenner back!

I don't order much fresh stuff because I agree they just chuck anything in without checking dates.  You can opt out of substitutes but I like when I order something cheap and they don't have it so they send something more expensive at no extra charge  I suppose that means I have to take my oil at getting the cheap sausages today

I've emailed them so hopefully they refund it.  

 

I know....value sausages are rank but to be honest my youngest will still eat them but they'll only be cooked when there's no other options there!

Hope they do Ells. I tried those sausages when i was skint, slapped a lot of tomato sauce on them, they didnt seem so bad then 

The little one doesn't even eat sauce or beans or gravy or ANYTHING to disguise the taste so hopefully he thinks they're ok every once in a while

I've decided to give up smoking.

 

Well, my OH has decided he's giving up and seeing as I don't smoke a lot anyway and that I always forget to buy cigs, I decided to join him in giving up.  

 

It's only been 24 hours but I'm fine, no serious cravings and the kids are more than pleased that we're trying anyway

Good for you Ells  I have stopped too, i found it hard and get cravings now and again but fight it! Good luck x

Erin I saw that advertised and could fancy watching it but mr c has other ideas and has put making faces on. Has anyone been watching Dead Good Job, about undertakers. Interesting and very emotional.

How long is it since you gave up?

Thanks Skylark.  I'm going cold turkey so no patches or tablets but I do have one of those inhaler thingys if I get a bad craving.  I'm worried about smoking when drinking though so I guess I'm giving that up for a few weeks too

There was an amusing routine about smoking tonight on MTW. The guy with the beard suggested that warnings on packets were rather ineffective. "They should say that one of these cigarettes has been up a dog's bottom." (And one or two other ideas which can't be mentioned on a family forum such as this one)

One Direction, they're rubbish, aren't they?

My niece is a fan and her Mum got tickets for her birthday but her Dad is refusing to go so I got talked into it instead.

Well I hope you enjoy it Ells.  Their music isn't for the likes of me as I'm a bloke older than I'd like to say and listen to a wide of range of music.  I hope they put on a good entertaining show for you, which I'd imagine they would with lots of pyrotechnics, set pieces and costume changes.  One Direction are for the hear and now, transient and a good night out. 

Perhaps Rees-Mogg could make an appearance in Downton?
