We're going to have one of our garden walls rebuilt and I happened to be passing by the recycling place near me so I asked if I could bring bricks and how many would they tolerate? I thought there would be a limit

Was told I could bring as many as I wanted - so that's going to save me Β£200 for a skip!! I'm champing at the bit with me Dad's old masonry chisel to knock it all  down!!

Do your energy bills cost anywhere close to Β£4,000 per annum?

We pay between Β£50-60 a month for electric and around the same per quarter for our gas = less than Β£1,000 per year (although our standing charges haven't been applied yet as our bills have not changed over the last year)

You’re lucky Renton ….mine went up from 120 a month …to 252 a month in April ….but since I’ve had my smart meter I’ve managed to get it back down to 200 .

It’s not a problem Renton My electric makes up about a third , with two thirds being gas . At the moment I’m about Β£500 in credit , so rather than claiming it back , I’m leaving it to hopefully ameliorate the winter rises .

So you pay more for gas p/m than electric?

We pay three times more for electric!! I hate chatting money so what on earth am I doing LOL

Yes, I pay more for gas than electric especially in the winter ….cos my central heating , and hot water are gas .

Last message about finances LOL - I used to leave that all to the adults but now I'm meant to be the adult and it's awful. Our hot water and central heating is gas too.

We pay Β£50-60 p/m for electric and Β£55 a quarter for gas - although the bill for the previous quarter was Β£150 which we assumed was the standing charge addition (never knew there was such a thing!) and now it's back to approx Β£55 a quarter.

Wonder why ours has barely changed?

Per quarter ….are you sure you don’t  mean per month ?

POST OFFICE said if for any reason they can't deliver something then they rely on a RETURN ADDRESS being inside or outside the item to help them at least return it to the sender.

They said ALWAYS write your return address on any posted item

I’ve received a card with my mail to say they are holding an item that had the wrong postage on it ….

Anyone else sick to death of hearing the postmortems on every sport/radio/television channel on Manchester United’s poor start to the season?

Two games, 2 loses. Gee, what a disaster. I’m sure they will be relegated, said with more than a hint of sarcasm

They’ll probably end up in the top 6

Then there’s the Joshua/Usyk 2 fight in Saudi Arabia. Boring, boring, very flippin boring
