After investigation by The Times newspaper Tweets have been unearthed from 2011 by Azeem Rafiq using racial slurs against the Jewish community. He has confirmed the tweets are his and apologised.

Unbelievable that a guy who had the nerve to detail harrowing accounts of racism and expect action to stop it is ok with being racist himself

Why we're all so hooked on Wordle.......

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have no idea, it's just a souped-up version of the MASTERMIND game.

I have both the coloured peg version and the letter version.

I've never heard of 'Wordle'

Remember 'Mastermind' however

Seems that Djokovic didn't actually win his case..........the judge threw it out because the border force didn't do things correctly!

That's how I understood the judge's decision, and how it was initially reported: the case was thrown out on a technicality.

I was surprised to see it portrayed later in the day as a total vindication for Djokovic, and I was left wondering what I'd missed...

Yes, a lot of the reporting was making out it was a huge win for Djokovic.....these reporters must have been Djokovic fans and a lot of it was wishful thinking.

And what do we rhink of the latest from Boris on the Lockdown Party?

Even if he genuinely thought it was a work meeting there are immediately three questions......why did he bring his wife, did he really think it was appropriate to bring booze to a work meeting and why didn't he leave as soon as he realized it was effectively a party - and make the rest go as well? Then there are a host of other questions piling in too!

I’m hoping they kick him out too

TBH I'm fed up of hearing about it....and parties being held at no:10 during lockdown ........as if there aren't far more important things going on in the world

I understand where you’re coming from Slimâ€Ķ.and in essence I agreeâ€Ķ.but I’m guessing I’d feel differently if I’d lost someone with covid , or hadn’t been able to be with a loved one when they were dying .

I'm not saying both instances shouldn't be investigated and dealt with appropriately, am fed up of it taking over the news, when there are so many other things that need addressing, like those poor people who are dying of starvation in Eastern Europe or even those that are still dying here in the UK.....it gets right up my nose

My husband didn't die from covid end of April 2020, but I still wasn't able to visit him in the hospice as I would have liked and wasn't able to attend his cremation...so I do understand the anger/frustration of folk.
I'd rather not be constantly reminded by news reporters behaving like a dog with a bone

POPULAR KETCHUP, MAYONAISSE, MILK AND VINEGAR PRODUCTS COULD SOON BE BANNED IN THE UK

Condiment sachets of ketchup, mayonnaise, milk and vinegar products could soon be banned in the UK.

It's part of plans being drawn up by the Department for Environment, Farming and Rural Affairs.

Plastic plates, mini milk pots and popular extras such as salad dressing could also be banned.
It’s part of ongoing measures designed to cut down on waste that cannot easily be recycled and which is likely to go into landfill or end up in the sea.

This rubbish makes me laugh.

It started with a ban on plastic straws, whilst the same shelves sell huge bottles of Pepsi and Lemonade - made from PLASTIC !!
