They were out (and awake) all night - slept in until 11. Good as gold - yo have to make the best of the weather while it's here and camping out is all part of childhood memories isn't it?

It is indeed sooz

I bet they had an absolute blast and you have a 'best nana in the world ' badge.

His friends must think you are wonderful (he will too, but then he always does )

I have a little idea that I want to do for above my table.  It comes from not liking candles on the table, the light off them at eye leve annoys me, but I love candles.  I want to get a large(ISH) piece of driftwood (probs about a metre in length), that I can suspend from the ceiling above the table and then have different coloured glass containers hanging off the driftwood each containing tea lights.

What do you think?  Silly or doable?

Doable

Although I would stick to red, black and white lights, otherwise it might look a bit busy

Cinds - I love it  and your photo of the Yorkie puds photo is almost identical to one my sone posted on FB last week - he was so chuffed with himself.

I have some little Morrocan tea glasses and they're in sort of jewel colours (I put tea lights in them) they'd look lovely against that back drop. I got them years ago from Whittards - don't know if they still do them but it might be worth looking.

I know what you're saying, but I think I'll leave the colours until AFTER I find this amazing piece of driftwood.

(Any beach dwelling FM's that might find such a lovely piece let me know... I will pay the P&P to get it to me)

Soozy don't get me started on how much I love Moroccan candle holders, in fact the whole Moroccan look.  Our next project is building the garden room on the back of the house (planning permission is now granted).  In my head, I have always envisaged it being Moroccan themed.

Hey now Soozy, please don't be going selling your wares down the docks just to get me a bit of wood.

Through streets wide and narrow, I'll wheel my wheelbarrow - singing cockles and mussells alive alive o

Oooh I didn't know that about flavoured water Sooz I was always drinking loads on Sw too  Should have just drank wine instead

Well done on the loss again, only 2lbs to go til you get a silver 7!!  I loved getting those, like a big kid with a reward badge

I had lost 4lb from Monday to Friday and then it went a bit tits up at the weekend so this morning's weigh in was 2lb off and that was my goal anyway so I suppose it's fine.  It's just a bit shit to know that if I want it off any quicker I have to give up drinking and nights out with my mate's

Awwwwwww - I've just had an e mail from my baby (daughter aged 29) - she's out in Houston 'networking'. She works as a buyer for an oil company. She was getting ready for a breakfast meeting with the head of the refinery. I'm getting visions of stetsons, JR and all that . She's got four days of meetings and then her friend is flying over to join her for four days holiday.

We've told her not to come back until she's bagged herself an oil baron. She's no fan of Dallas so I had to tell her she'd be better off going for Christopher than JR junior

All very exciting for her though.

Not once it's done the full cycle - dropping briefly into a bowl of water is one thing - hot wash/rinse/spin - not a hope in hell

I posted these comments on the Daily Mail site and got 22 approvals!

Q. Why do most Tories constantly rubbish the public sector? A. Because they don't need it! It's a waste of money - for them! They don't need it because they have enough wealth to bypass it completely. It matters not if there's no NHS, state schools or even a much reduced police because they have enough funds to buy those things in privately and still be better off via lower taxes. Not so the rest of us. Class war from those who shape and benefit most from the inequalities of market capitalism. ÂĢ20,000 for two days a month for so-called 'work' as a 'director', is that really true market value or just easy money for those who make the rules and sponge off the rest of society.

I wrote that partially as a bit of trolling to the DM's right wingers. It's clearly socialist, so I'm somewhat surprised that the comment wasn't crucified.
