The director from our 'main' customer rang the office today to speak with Mr C who wasn't in.  He said he wanted to pop in to see him and asked would he be back by a certain time.  The following blonde moment ensued.

Me: 'Yes he's just popped out for a haircut so he'll be back by then'

Him: 'OK we've been talking earlier about TFR, and I need to see him, so he'll definitely be back?'

Me: 'Yes, he'll definitely be back, it's not that big a job these days to cut his hair due to the lack of it, in fact I believe when he goes to the hairdresser now they just blow him'

Him: (laughing) 'That's really none of my business'

Me: 'Oh christ what did I just say, that wasn't what I meant, oh never mind, I'll see you when you come in'

Needless to say, I got a right ribbing when he came in to see us.

Remember I told you how much I was gonna miss my little Jack? Well I got to spend the day with him today - the school secretary rang me at 10.30 and asked if I'd pick him up as he'd had a bump to the head.

Some horrible little critter had thrown a wooden brick at him and he had an egg shaped lump on his forehead going all bluey/purple.

Had a lovely day with him in the garden - the sun was shining - I've got Charley's card marked though

Seriously though .............I'm one very protective nan - I'll be giving that kid evils at the school gate. He was a horror at play group but steered clear of Jack as he wont be pushed around (he;s not spiteful but is assertive and wont be bullied his brother is six years older). It's terrible when you take a dislike to kids isn't it?

Sooz we can't help it!!  Some kids are little feckers!!  My youngest's friend has taken to picking on him about his skin (he's got severe eczema) and I'm ready to give him a kick up the hole.

Sorry but that's how I am.  Upset my kiddlies and I will act like a kid myself.  Not very mature I know but.....they're my babies.

I'm bored.

I've been out and am drunk but no-one else is home yet for me to torture.  I left early to make sure a mate was ok but by the time I got outside the bar she was gone so I checked all the take aways and taxi stands nearby and no sign so went home.  Turns out she went back into the bar.

FML there were more sambucca with my name them but I went home early

Another welcome back for Lillibet! It seems wrong to overload poor Terry Nutkin's thread so I will say this here...... I was suggesting to the Saint that celebrities die everyday and gave a few examples. Sian Busby the novelist died from lung cancer this week (never smurked tabs) at the early age of 51. I've just noticed that she was married to Robert Peston. He is taking a short leave of absence from the Beeb.
Garage Joe

I've got four 10 year old boys camping in my back garden in a huuge tent - they've got a TV, X box, DVD player, Monopoly, Chess, Cluedo and Connect 4. A pile of goodies plus all the plush soft garden furniture - my daughter popped in - she said 'camping out wasn't like that when I was young'. I hit back with - my tent was I was young consisted of sheets and towels hitched to the washing line/fence and clothes horse

Oh to be young - what larks

Rose Garden is one of my all time favourite songs to have a good old sing song too.  In fact I'm sure I sing snapped it, but I won't post the link and ruin the good memories others might have of that song.

They were out (and awake) all night - slept in until 11. Good as gold - yo have to make the best of the weather while it's here and camping out is all part of childhood memories isn't it?

My dear ole Aunt Bessie always makes mine

I have to admit, I normally let Aunt Bessie provide our Yorkshire puds, but every now and again I feel all homely and do my own.
