The Queen's Jubilee

They do indeed. 500 miles is our unofficial anthem IMO. Everytime I go on hols I ask for it and it's guaranteed to get EVERYONE up dancing 

I think me and my son are the only one's up in our street. Took a walk to the shop earlier and all curtains were shut. Do the numerous Jubilee parties that were going on last night have anything to do with that? I think so 

The weather gods are republican

Blooming shame about the weather for the various Jubilee events. I'm not really patriotic and I can't stand old Queenie but am looking forward to the stuff going on and the long bh. Any excuse for a party!

Oh and why do I spend god knows how long cleaning and polishing when I know when the troops arrive that the place will be like a bomb site for the next few days???

Sunny here too - no flags though, but then again, I'm in my living room.   I'm not a mad royalist - but I really don't mind the Royal family and I've switched on the have a quick look.    Kate looks fabulous again - the b*tch.  Don't think I'll be watching boats for four hours minds you.  

French Open tennis on ITV4 is more interesting.

Reason major Royals never travel together is in case of accident. We're one tidal wave away from Queen Fergie today, folks..

I'm also watching all these little boats rowing for all their worth and pretty close to each other - I'm sure a couple of them are going to be playing  water dodgems by the end

You can keep an eye on the Tweets without having to watch the boats though.

When I am sold goods clearly not 'fit for purpose' and the shop refuses to refund saying it is not their policy and the Customer Service is extremely poor, talking a load of old rubbish. That'll teach me to shop in a discounted store, I guess 

 

I should have added that the store inform me that different manufacturers are given different measurements to make the same size label so if I buy 3 matching items all size 12, I can expect one to be anything from an 8 to a 16!!

If that's what they told you then I think they were exaggerating. However each size is a range, so that as long as their finished product's measurements fall within that range then they can legitimately claim it IS that size.

 

Thus clothes that are sold as a size 12 can range from little more than a size 10 to almost a size 14.

The item I wanted to return was a good 4 inches smaller than the other two I had bought. I even got 3 more items made by the same brand from the rail and showed them in the store to prove it. They wouldn't have it though - as far as they were concerned the item was 'fit for purpose' even though all the other 5 labels of the same brand and size were about 4" larger. Thieving gits as far as I am concerned.

Sportsdirect.com. I have been on plenty of shop review sites the last couple of days giving bad reviews about them. I was surprised to see my experience of the store and their customer service is par for the course. 

That is how I feel.  I tend to walk around the house ranting  muttering, 'oh yeah I cleaned everything because it's my life work and I just love it'.  

 

BUT, if  I didn't clean it, who in the whole house would be judged if the place was a shit tip and filthy.  ME...THAT'S WHO.  NOT HIM, NOT THE BRAT, BUT ME!!!

 

Oh and has anyone looked at the moon tonight, it's sooooooo beautiful.  I tried to take pictures from upstairs but the trees got in the way.  It's so big, and  bright and very low.

It's just coming out from behind cloud here now... it's like a horror film moon!
