Man stabbed by gang in 'random' attack in Clydebank

Onslow Road The man was stabbed near Drumry Railway Station

A 40-year-old man has serious injuries after being stabbed by a gang in a "random" attack in Clydebank.

The man was walking along Onslow Road, near the railway bridge at Drumry Railway Station, at about 05:30 on New Year's Day when he was attacked by a group of people.

As a child I lived not far from there. The primary school I went to was on the other side of the station. The houses were there, but in those days the bit of grouhd that is all grassed and pathed was just an area of wasteland.

In my opinion, anyone caught with a knife should be jailed for 20 years. No if ands or buts

But seriously, I think it would be hard to send someone down for that amount of time just for possession despite everyone of us wanting it. If it was maybe a guaranteed 18 months for possession then that might make a few re-think carrying.

I am shattered! Looking forward to everything getting back to normal now

Where has all the Xmas spirit gone, I thought everyone loved Xmas here.

I know what you mean  Jen.

I drank it all

Interestingly, I have hardly touched alcohol this Xmas. Had a half glass of lager when visiting with a friend on NYD.

Especially JO now he has become a caricature of himself

The thing is what do you do EC?

Small sentences don't seem to make that much difference, so what is the answer?

I'm guessing no one really knows...
