That's funny EC, my little one was having a right lip sync today to adele's new song... I just turned around and caught her she really made me laugh.

I'm spookily in tune with an FM again. :-)

If only you had caught it in camera. :-)

I just did to send to my brother! Open the forum and see this reply lol

I'm officially a spook!!

Sorry.....long post again.  I'll try and keep it short

So....(Sorry Baz and EC)   I applied for two jobs yesterday. A temporary school receptionist (with an agency)  and an admin asst in the NHS.  I was in the jobcentre this afternoon when my phone rang. I knew not the number and let it go till I was outside thinking it may be for a job. When I got outside I rang the caller back and said I'd just had a missed call.  She explained she was calling about the receptionist job but at that point I couldn't hear as the wind was blowing and asked if I could call her back when I got in the house, (and in any case I don't like talking about stuff like this on the phone outside). She said yes, no problem

I did the odd few bits I needed to, got back home and rang her back......to be told....I'm sorry but in between calls I've managed to fill that position but if anything else comes up I'll get in touch.

Agencies!!!     I just wonder what the hell I have to do!!

Her proper course of action should have been (to the other person) to say I've got someone calling me back and can I take your details so if it doesn't work out I can give you a call

I might ring them on Monday (office is in Newcastle)

And as a footnote....I'm doubly annoyed now cos I've spilt gravy on my peach coloured sweatshirt       That said the sweatshirt's not even good enough to make a duster out of. It's a good job I don't go out in it    I'm consoling myself with a bottle of wine though

Zig and Zag.....

I loved Zig and Zag on the Big Breakfast.   I also loved TFI Friday back in the day, but I watched the first 'revival' and switched off part way through - I just don't get it any more.  I like Chris Evans though.

Me too, but, it seems like a lot of 40 somethings reliving their youth now......and failing miserably, looking like a load of 'old' aunts and uncles.........(With puppets)

I think that's probably it, Sydders..   some things you shouldn't revisit.

I agree..........but Steptoe & Son still makes me smile and think too....

Hahaha I just re arranged my 11yr old sons room... needless to say under his (divan!) bed was a carpet of lego, rubbish, socks and a host of other small toys etc..... I swept it all into the center of his room, hoovered where the bed/ wardrobe were going back, replaced then and called him up to sort through all that crap! I'm evil

So sorry to hear about that Sprout. I agree that she should have held it for you until you had spoken to them.

The upside is that I notice unemployment is down and more jobs are likely to be made available next year, so let's hope 2016 is your year.

I have     I'm also faffing around with music on my pooter and usb drives and the stuff I'm coming up with    Stuff I thought I'd long lost

I had several flash drives laying around. So I bought an external hard drive . Loaded everything from them onto it. Nearly ten thousand files

I have only used about 2% of the hard drive. It's half a terabyte

I've got an external one too......it's a case of sorting out the duplicates                      before I load everything on there
