When is your birthday Cinds

I stopped having that nonsense when I turned 40.

But as a hint of when my birthday is. A rock n roll icon died on that day in 1977. However, another apparent icon, queen of pop was born on the same day 1958.

You share your birthday with Mr Yogi - not the same year though, you're a lot younger.

Thanx Cinds

I spent yesterday afternoon in A&E with my 5yr old..... She was putting on her stick on earrings but misplaced it in her ear... she then tried to get it out herself  when she asked me for help it was pretty far down into her ear.... I tried with tweezers once but that wasn't going to work so i tried to flush it out with water... that didn't work either! So i rang 111... after questions like "Is she gasping for every breath?  they advised A&E... Guy in A&E tried to get it out with me holding the light thing in her ear  I think he may have made it worse tbh... Then they got an ear nose and throat doc to come and try... He came with a box full of equipment, took one look in her ear and said we needed to go round to the ENT department as it was too far in. We went and he used a huge microscope to help him try.... By this time she was screaming and wriggling when ever he touched it cos it hurt

So they are calling me tomorrow to arrange for her to go under general anaesthetic so they can get it out!

All this for a stick on frozen earring.... I'm actually thinking about starting a campaign to get them banned!

Thanx guys, she's fine atm and so am I.. well I am until they knock her out that is... That bit always wipes me out and i will be itching til I'm with her again... been through it a few times with my two girls for more serious things than something in their ear.... meh I'll still be a mess tbh, that moment when they go to sleep and they take them away is so crappy. Anyone who has been there will know exactly what i mean... I'm waiting to find out tomorrow, it's so silly but I'm dreading it...

I know exactly what you mean, Jen.

I've only been through it once with my youngest when he was little but it was the longest two and a half hours of my life.  I also went through it with my middle son a few years ago and it wasn't any easier because he was an adult.

Hope it's over and done with really quickly.

I soooooo know what you mean, it's awful.  Hopefully everything will go smoothly & she'll be home by tea time.

Cinds

We took eldest grandchild, great niece & a friends little girl to Disney on Ice on Saturday.  Firstly it was much better than last years.

Anyway all of the kids were dressed up, we had 2 x Elsa & a Buzz Lightyear, so as a surprise for them, Mr Cinds & I also got dressed up, Woody & Jessie from Toy Story.  The kids didn't know anything about it until we came down stairs together ready to go.  Their faces were brilliant, a mixture of WOW & WTF!

Needless to say, we were the only adults there that were dressed up.

(Already planning next years costume)

It's on Friday, got to take her in for 7:30am... she's been totally fine and the drops are a brilliant way to keep her in bed when she goes as she has to stay lying on her side for 10/15mins

Hoping it will be a quick in and out thing
