Missed this last night... She seems to be leaning toward paediatrics recently.

You never know how things turn out as they get older and experience more things. I wish I knew what I wanted to do at her age.

Is this what you meant to post?

Yes, I'm working through some interesting water sculptures. High speed photography of water - fascinating and quite beautiful.

You do know that it just shows text on a black and white background saying "I am a copyright violator and a bandwidth thief. And this page probably has viruses" ?

No, as it displays fine for me.

I'll delete it if you can delete yours in the replies - cheers.

I know I'm probably sounding like a bias parent here but i actually think she will do it... She's been saying it since about age 6 (never any pressure) She records loads of real life A+E type programs all the time. She's looked up what grades she needs to get to get into uni and chose her GCSE's based on that! I'm supportive yet approachable, in the sense i will never make her feel she has to follow it through... But like i say she seems pretty set on it.

I am having similar discussions with my niece and nephew at the moment. My nephew knows what he wants and has chosen a career in engineering (electrical). My niece really is not sure and is covering all her bases, although she is one of the top students at her school. She is currently doing a lot of media type subjects, photography, film making and audio broadcasting. We will have to see how it all pans out for them.

Sounds like your daughter really is focused on her chosen career. Hope you have started a savings account for her higher education

That's the scary part of it all!

As for your niece and nephew, I'm of the mindset that support and encouragement is all anyone needs to be the best they can be.... As long as mine are happy in life I'll be happy.

I stopped having that nonsense when I turned 40.

But as a hint of when my birthday is. A rock n roll icon died on that day in 1977. However, another apparent icon, queen of pop was born on the same day 1958.
