Seems passions are soaring after the political debate. Mum, ready for feasting after the confabulations opened the fridge to discover that I had not only had chicken for lunch but also tea, marched through with the almost empty packet and declared 'oh great! two bits of left!`then marched back through leaving me in a guilty silence yet wondering what all the fuss was about. Most of the country`s mothers are probably unleashing in the same way. It's monstrous what heated political debating does to the average family. cluck cluck.

We've been to a charity function tonight at Hexham Auction Mart, for a young man who sadly has an inoperable brain tumour (Google 'Stay strong Stu'). We donated a machine to the auction, but some of the auction lots were brilliant. I was hoping Mr Cinds would bid on a piglet for me. He didn't, but we did buy a trip to Prague.

But this auction lot was my favourite of the night. Where would I have kept this if we'd bought it

You will be brilliant once you have done it a few times, it will become second nature, as has already been said

Hope it goes well for you

It's started already and I'm not even at work yet assistant manager rang me last night to say the woman who covered the shop on Saturday had rang her to say the ceiling in the hallway had collapsed because of leak and rain has been pouring in and water has got into the shop and the electric is off, I swear I never went near the place assistant manager meeting me there so I won't be on my own after all

I usually have morning coffee in caffÃĐ Nero opposite though. I did see John Virgo from my seat upstairs. He was chatting to a couple of gents and sharing a cigarette.

Last year I saw John Hendry going into a bookies.

If you can cope with this and I'm sure you will, you can cope with anything

Good luck

Couldn't open up as the entire ceiling has come down, all wires hanging out, water everywhere and all power off, even the emergency back up " it wasn't me "

The boss has just left me a message asking me to ring her, I'm scared I'll just have a cuppa first

*add a touch of the hard stuff* purely for medicinal purposes, of course

I reiterated what Jen has said....why wasn't it noticed on the last lock up?

We thought it was in the hallway where we noticed the ceiling was cracking and we reported it but it wasn't it was in the shop itself, she thought it looked ok but then it rained heavy Saturday night Sunday morning so she went in yesterday to check and it had come down, couldn't get hold of anyone so left it for us so by this morning it was even worse and it's forecast to rain heavy again tonight, we tried ringing maintenance but no one is there

Sounds like it could be a long repair job to me

You would think they would have *a standby holiday maintenance person* on call wouldn't you?

Hope it all gets sorted out Aims, sounds like a pain in the butt you really could do with out... But you could use it as an opportunity to show how great you'd be as assistant manager

If I missed the discussion on this I apologise. But, did any of you watch the documentary 2 weeks ago called 'Raining In My Heart'?  It was about 3 kids with cancer, followed their treatments.

I had recorded it & watched it yesterday. Oh god. I was a mess within 10 minutes, by the end I needed counselling.

I love The Shires

Not if you had been listening to them on R2 live at EC-ville. Shocking.

Ah.. I wasn't.   Not to be recommended then?   There was me thinking of getting tickets for their tour too...  not like Whispering Bob to back duffers.
