Lovely kitchen Cinds - I will try and get pics of mine up - I'm useless at techie stuff. Bet you're glad it's done.

I had a phone call today from Mr Woos niece (I suppose she's my niece too - she's my sister in laws daughter) she told me that she and her sister are coming with their three kids on Friday for a weeks holiday . Aren't I the lucky one?

I shouldn't be mean but they lived round the corner for years and it was never easy. They used to steal my kids stuff all the time and they're not a lot better now. We'll have to lock stuff away and be careful (we do have quite a bit of money in the house at times) - caught one of them in Mt Woos bag a few years ago,

Hey ho - I'll just have to smile and pretend it's all great. My daughters just told me 'don't expect to see me for a week' - 'tell them I'm on holiday'.

IN LAWS - grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Sooz - sometimes you must wish that you still drank

It has crossed my mind  Actually you just reminded me - one of them did have a real drink problem at one time. Before she had her first child she came up for a visit with her BF - they spent all day and night in the pub and came home wrecked - couldn't even see to eat their dinner that I'd cooked. They got up the next morning late and she was drinking WKD with her breakfast

I'm really not looking forward to this at all

Nope. I would keep the house very, very dry.

I know this is probably a bit of a silly question, but was it old stuff being shown again?  If so, I think it's 'of the time' thing.  Very funny at the time, but when looked back on years later, just not funny any more.  Humour has moved on.

Cinds

Went out for dinner last night and for the first time had crispy Vietmanese soft shell crab with garlic and chilli salt.  OH MY GAWD it was delicious. If you have never tried it and get the opportunity definitely give it whirl.  It was one of those things it was so delicious I've been thinking about it all day *drools*

Sounds lovely, I love anything that's done in salt and chilli.

Oh and I hate seafood (except the boring....tuna and cod) but that sounds edible to me.

oooh..   interesting!

I actually came across soft shell crabs for sale earlier in the week, when I was trying to find somewhere I could buy king crab  (I want to do a "Low Country Boil" and the only crabs I can find in the fishmongers round here are our normal Cromer style ones)

Half way down the page, below the king crab, they have soft shell crabs & I was wondering what they were all about

OOOOH!   EXCELLENT!!!!

You have to let me know if they are ok (delivery, quality, etc)...

my Dad & I have been drooling over that site for days, we are considering putting in a joint order...

my Dad kinda went into a lobster frenzy...     (he was feeding my bloody dog lobster yesterday up at their house )     He was going to give the lobster meat a tentative try (he is worried it won't be as nice out of the shell) as well as some whole lobster & a few lots of prawns,   Oh & whitebait..

hahaha..  yeah, as I said...     we have been drooling over that site.

I might give the snow crab a go as well
