Thats fantastic Jen

Grrr my eldest has just broke his brace and it costs ÂĢ100 to replace it.  He has it 3 weeks.

Jen, well done on the weight loss.  I usually give up after a few weeks coz I get bored of diets but you seem to be sticking with it brilliantly.  I need to get on a diet pretty sharpish.  I weighed myself yesterday and was more than happy to see I've lost over a stone and a half since getting pregnant (I only out on 2lb during pregnancy) so I really do think alcohol had a LOT to do with my weight before the baby.  I'm happy not to be drinking now and will never be going back to drinking 2-3 nights a week.  Just need to stop eating take aways now!

Wow thats amazing! Well done Ells

Thats so annoying about the brace  Could a denture repair kit possibly fix it?

Hope Maddie's doing well

FM

I haven't a clue if it would still be doing it's job if we patched it up so I'll have to take it to the orthodontist to see if they can repair it.

Thanks Rog, Maddie is great.  Still being a super good baby (apart from her 2 hours fussy time every night either keeping me up til 2am or last night 4-6am) but she's so good that I don't mind because I know I can catch a nap next day.  She just sleeps all day, I have to try to keep her awake for an hour towards bedtime to tire her out but she just refuses and falls asleep even in the bath!

Aww Cinds, that's lovely..

Were you ok? I know it's not that long since she passed

Jen, it really was lovely. I had spent time with her Mam and sister in the afternoon and they'd asked me if I would do the raffles and auctions etc. I said I would love to do it for her memory, but I'm awful, I am a cryer, I get emotional, so I couldn't speak, as much as I would have loved to.

I saw something this week, as a woman I shouldn't have laughed at, but I did. Then I told Mr Cinds, he laughed too. Then Mr Cinds told his mate, who apparently laughed solid for 5 minutes and then the whole pub wanted to know what he was laughing at.

I know what you mean - when you think those songs are over thirty years old

Best 'modern' era though?  nothing else could touch it?

I dunno, sprouty - never sure if it's the music, or the memories it evokes.   I think I probably like the 70s' best for reminiscing Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Steely Dan  - but there's music from all eras I love (and hate!)

I see what you're sayin. I was born in 61 and although I was around in the 70's I was still quite young then  so I kinda get the 80's as when I 'grew up'
