Moonie, I love it, I went to the shops today via my parents (30 miles away) then via Shotton airfield (where Mr C was sky diving).. And then I drove home.

That sounds like you gave it a good 'trial' then Cinds

Hope Mr C's skydiving went well

I do love Erasure - always wanted to see them perform. I will one day - hopefully.

I love them too, Soozy - I like listening to their 'Pop' album when I'm doing the housework.. and singing at the top of voice.   'Respect' is my Singstar song

I used to have that CD - got lost along the years. I think my fave is Blue Savannah although not sure - there are so many good ones on it. Maybe O'Lamour.

Chuffing hell Pirate!!! How awful. R.I.P. Brandons mum, and I hope the Brandon and his sister get well soon. I have been reading about this, but when people you "know" know the family, it makes it even more real. I hope you and Lisa and stepson arn't too  affected.

lisa son is upset-the scary girl down the road is brandons girlfriend-they all go to same school for autistic kids-theres only about 15 of them-so theyre pretty tight knit

brandons coming out tomorrow-his stab wound wasnt too bad,the mad b@stard of a dad strangled the mom, then later tried to strangled his daughter, then stabbed brandon-then calmly made the kids breakfast!

lisa just took the girlfriend & her mom to the hospital cos he's been asking to see the girl

the girls mom & brandons dad had a big row on friday..so she thinks its her fault he went bonkers!

lisa & the kids are going on holiday to spain with the girlfriend & her family in 3weeks time

that should be fun

Very tragic for all concerned   Scary to think that person had access to your own loved ones!

Pirate - that's awful You do hear some terrible things.

Last week a chinese guy who my daughter works with was arrested for the murder of his ex wife. This guy has been having an affair with another woman at the same work place - her husband committed suicide last year.

The place is awash with rumours. My daughter is really . He'd apparently murdered her on the Monday but her body wasn't found until Tuesday night - on the Tuesday evening he was showing one of my daughters colleagues round his house as he was thinking of selling.

I always find stuff like this so shocking when it happens on your own doorstep.

Oh my god that's just awful.

Grrrrrrrrrrr - you've just reminded me that mine needs doing. On Sunday Mr Woo put some 'crackling' back in the oven to really crisp it up - he put it directly on the rack. Anyway - he forgot about it - I was cooking some chicken last night and the kitchen all got a bit 'steamy' when I opened the oven up it was toxic. He'd forgotten all about it. It was black and charred. I was a bit miffed with him - I put it on a plate and took it in to him - I said 'is it crispy enough now?'

Ells - ^^ I really wouldn't break your back over it - it'll go directly on a skip somewhere.

Kind of pointless to even do it as it's getting taken away today when they bring the new one but I don't want it looking bogging when they take it away

Aww Ells take it easy and don't bother  - appliances just go to the scrapyard don't they?

How are you feeling a.t.m.?

I would have done exactly the same.

Ells, I wouldn't worry about it, it's only going to be scrapped.

My oven is supposed to be self cleaning, NOT once has it cleaned itself.

Cinds

I've cleaned it inside and out and it looks brand new  I don't want the neighbours thinking I had a dirty cooker!  Yes it'll go to the dump but now I feel bad for any dump-divers who regularly go to the dump and take things that look like they are in good nick coz the oven doesn't work and neither do 2 of the rings so if they take it then they won't be long in bringing it back!

I don't think I'm alone in cleaning things before them being dumped.  Every time I'm in the car when the OH has to stop at the dump I see rows of very clean appliances
