Geez Cinds, that's just downright hateful!  I understand the whole 'if so and so is there then such and such can't come' carry on that families do and there's always someone who is going to get hurt by not being invited BUT to ask you's to still bring the cake and then f*ck off back home is really taking the piss and, to be honest, shows just what they think you and Mr C are good for......gifts!

Stay at home, have cake and tea for supper and then send the kid something only useful for a kid (not money or clothes, just toys) so they can't profit from it.  

Aaaaand this conversation has made me realise I haven't ordered a cake for my sons party on Sunday.  Lots of time, I know, but he wants a Man Utd one so I have to hunt someone out who can make one!

Been for my scan this morning.  All is good with the baby and measurements and checks were all great.  No idea of the sex still because the baby wasn't in the best position which I am gutted about.

Glad to know that the reason I haven't felt much movement yet is because of the placenta being at the front of my stomach so cushioning the kicks.

If it wasn't for the fact that it's a dear little boys birthday I'd send this cake. Actually he's only one and might not realise and simply enjoy the chocolate.

I'm wearing white for the first time this season, and within minutes of arriving at work I've managed to spill coffee down myself 

It's not that bad really.  Although saying that, every time I've attempted to have my legs waxed I just cannot cope.

I'm such a moaning minnie (as you probably already know), I moan about the slightest wee pain but geeeeeez that was uncalled for.  I've never had anything other than my eyebrows waxed.  I put a strip of wax on my leg at home once when I was about 18 and freaked out and couldn't pull it off.  I was in hysterics about how this wax strip was coming off when I was walking past my Dad and he ripped the thing off my leg.  Ow.

lisa's son had fell out with 'jolly girl' but they arranged to meet today (shes done that several times & never turned up)

Went to my doctor today with pain behind my right knee which has been there for weeks but has gotten worse this past week. Woke in the night thinking I couldn't breathe but wasn't sure if I actually couldn't breathe or if I was dreaming it as once I sat upright in bed I was fine and when I got my bearings I was breathing fine. The leg had been cramping quite a lot last night so I rang this morning and was seen to. No visible signs of clot, no swelling etc so the doc did a blood test and told me to ring this evening for results.  

My sister had a clot in pregnancy last year so I am labelled as high risk.  Rang for the results this evening and was told yes they were high which MIGHT indicate a clot but that the doctor had consulted with obstetrics and they had decided that the result wasn't high enough to worry about so they aren't scanning the leg.  

I'm a little worried about it to be honest so I rang the doc back and asked if I could get it scanned but she said there's no scans at A&E until Monday and I should just leave it unless the pain gets worse or there are other symptoms.

Ells go to A&E telling them that the pain is back ,worrying about this will only cause anxiety amd that's not good for your baby ,

I know Erin, I told her I was going to just go to A&E to be scan coz I wasn't happy with waiting around but she said even if I go there this weekend they will not be able to scan me as that section is 9-5 monday to friday only.

I don't want to be over reacting and it might not even be a clot but surely a quick scan would eliminate my worry and, more importantly, be safest for the pregnancy?!

Ells that is said to keep people away ,if someone needed to be scanned they would be scanned.They wouldn't be told come back on Monday!!.Go to the A&E now!!!

I would go Ells, it will be busy being Friday night so be prepared for waiting around but if it were me, with your sister having a clot before too i would have to get checked.

Did they say what 'other symptoms' to keep an eye out for?
