Apparently it's all very shambolic, chaotic and like a cattle market.
They were there six hours and D's niece got to sing in a canvas booth in front of directors/producers whatever they were for 30 seconds before being told No.
They were queued up outside in hot sun for two hours before being let inside - my son was horrified that an old lady near to them collapsed (fortunately there was a nurse in the throng) it took over 30 minutes for the medics to get there but the camera men filmed it all right from the start.
I'm really not surprised ........................I'm just more surprised that people actually bother to show up. There must be easier ways
My son rang this morning to say that his face is really sore as he got sun burn waiting outside ..............that really must be a first in all the years he's lived in Manchester.
To be fair, it's sort of what I would expect. I think deep down we all know these shows are sanitised and edited to look slick and fun.
For me (If I actually needed one which I don't) just another reason not to watch the programme.
My advice for anyone wanting to be a vocal artist (I know quite a few musicians and singers) is to get a good vocal coach (essential) and learn how to be a singer, train the voice and look after it. Network with other local musicians, join vocal groups and if time allows try and work with bands.
