I really don't know what to do, lil AIms throat is looking worse, that thing that hangs down in the middle now has ulcers on it and is stuck to the side I think hospital will have to be the next call

Call NHS Direct or take her to the hospital. It's not right that she's suffering like that.

 

Just read back the thread. Sorry to hear about your daughter. Yes I think that it would be best to let the hospital have a look. They cold well give her something there and then to help with the symptoms. They may even take swabs and run tests to determine what the exact illness is and better target the treatment.

 

 

She's been to the doctors and the walk in centre in the last 24hrs and they have both said just to take pain killers we both suffer with our tonsils and she says this pain is x10 it looks terrible but I'm trying to play it down

 

To be honest Aimee, I would take her. If she is in the amount of pain you say she will not be able to sleep very easily and sleep is needed. Just my 2 cents, but I'd take her to hospital.

Nothing to lose in calling NHS Direct .................put your mind at rest.

Yes Aimee trust your instincts and take her to A&E.  They will more than likely do a few tests just to make sure she's generally ok and maybe even give her something stronger for the pain.

Hope she's feeling better when she wakes .............it's often at it's very worst before it gets better (if that makes sense). Thinking of you  Horrible when the kids are ill .......you'd rather be ill yourself.

If you do go queens, wash your hands a lot and use the anti bac gels!! You don't want her catching anything else bless her

Thanks for all your advice, she slept till 4 so we didn't go to hospital, they said today would be the worst day so I'm going to see how she goes today, it doesn't look as red this morning but the ulcers are still there, she's managed a boiled egg and she's asleep again now

i bought lisa a nice little car a couple of days back-off hells angel mate-we just went shopping,put stuff in the boot, i decided to have a quick look at the spare tyre while the boot was open, lifted the mat thing & found about a grands worth of class B's!!!!!!

 

Awwwwwwww ......I guess it's a question of keeping plenty of fluids in her and pain killers as and when.

 

I do hope she's feeling better soon. Plenty of fluids do help eg. headaches etc. - sometimes painful to swallow I know but it is worth persevering.

Ooooooooooh be careful - they may have a contract out on you.

 

They may be getting a posse together as we speak.

Hope she feels better today Aims.   My sis is on meds that can sometimes give her louds of mouth ulcers and I know how bad that is for her... in your throat must be even worse.  I don't really think there's any treatment for them other than waiting till they go.

 

 

Hope she makes a quick recovery!

It does seem that you can only take pain killers

She will just be feeling well and it's back to Uni .

Hope she is much better today .

I've bought a doppler so I can listen to the baby's heartbeat but couldn't find it the past few days which isn't unusual as I have some 'extra cushioning' in that area BUT today I found it  So strange hearing it but such a relief too because I haven't felt much movement but was rudely awakened this morning by what I thought was baby kicks but was half asleep so wasn't 100% sure.

She should be going back Sunday but she's going to stay home another week

  I think I saw a baby mouse in my living room.  It might have been a (very large) spider or a very small mouse but either way, I'm scared!

 

My OH pulled out furniture and found nothing but that doesn't make me feel any better.  It could even have been fluff that got blown about because OH had the front door open but that doesn't make me feel any better.

Could be nothing though, when i was preg i was seeing things, i was always ducking thinking i had nearly banged my head then realizing i was no where near the cupboard/door... that makes sense in head, don't know how else to word it

You're probably right, Jen.  I have had a few experiences where I've thought I've caught something out of the corner of my eye but turned out it was nothing.

 

Still too scared to go back in the living room though!
