Work has started on the garden

 

Skip delivered this morning ........a lot of banging and crashing going on as we speak ...........prepare for drama like only I can deliver .........I see your bathroom tiling Jen and raise you ten

 

I wanted my builders in to do the job ........in his wisdom (and mindful of his pocket) Mr Woo has recruited a new neighbour who has just taken early retirement from the Merchant Navy in order to care for his 'older' wife who is terminally ill. They have moved into the old folks bungalows to the side of us.

 

Nice guy but ........................I think he's a bit OCD - their garden is literally the size of a postage stamp and he has been working on it night and day for the past four weeks. Mr Woo can spot a good worker and senses when someone might want some ready monies (he's never one to miss an opportunity)

 

I'm just a bit dubious about using a neighbour - you pay a builder to do an agreed job it's all a bit iffy with 'casual' labour. 

 

I can see it ending in tears ............let's face it - it always does at 'Chez Woo'.

Well ...........................i've just taken delivery of this. I'm very excited but ........you need to assemble it yourself - it's 6ft!!!!!!

 

it's for my lounge which is all off white with Teal curtains and bits and bobs!

 

To be honest, I found the bit about thrashing a child's arse till it bled to be more offensive than the swear word.

I've had a delivery from argos today, just some extra wardrobes and chest of drawers for the insane amount of clothes I have and the extra to come when the baby arrives BUT the delivery man stupidly placed the big heavy boxes upright completely covering the toilet door!!

 

I am going to wet myself if my OH doesn't get back from work soon.  I've rang him and he's a good half hour away.  I'm tempted to ring my Dad but he'd walk here and back and he hasn't got the best legs these days and will refuse to get a taxi.

Ikea - I haven't got it up yet - the canvas is rolled but the frame has to be assembled.
