While I'm here the wind blowing around outside my house is a worry. 

Baby update:

 

I was scanned today and everything is fine.  It seems I am still having something similar to a monthly cycle so it might occur again but he said it should stop now as the placenta takes over more work (or something?  I'm sorry but he was Polish and I couldn't understand half of what he said).  He was lovely though and did a thorough check of everything he could see.

 

 

 

aaaand yes, I do realise that you can't really make anything out in that pic but I thought I'd share it anyway

I must have an active imagination, I could see a head, body and limbs in a curled position!

Well I can see a little bit of that too but my eldest can see NOTHING that resembles a baby yet my youngest is able to point out bits and pieces to me.  My sister thinks she can see the genitals at the left hand side of that pic right where the measurment thingy is but I just see 2 light marks.

Did you know that apparently the style of underpants that a man wears can have an effect on the gender of the baby. Apparently if they wear tighter pants it means the testicles are closer to the body and warmer, which apparently makes the produce more X chromosome sperm. Not sure how true it is, but my a Dad was and still is a tightly whitey wearer (shudders) and he had 5 girls.

All I'm getting from that is Walter White in the first eppy lol

Erin that was brilliant. The judges expressions were priceless.  The guy with the beard and the beany, looked like he was close to tears. Loved it.

This final one I'm going to use as a soap dish in my new bathroom.  The pic doesn't do it any justice.

I bought a lovely old fashioned glass candle holder (wee willie winkie) style in a Charity shop the other day. I have a large scented candle in it on top of the piano now. Real bargain ..........................I forget about charity shops for little odds and ends. I used to look in them a lot.

Incidentally my next project is the garden patio and arbour (not free standing - going from the back of the house). Any ideas welcome.

 

Still looking for an extra large canvas print for my big wall in the lounge. Was going to go LS Lowry but I'm not so sure now - again any ideas very welcome - the colour scheme (although not really necessary to know) is off white and teal.

 

Don't necessarily want a Teal print - I don't really like those BIG flower prints although I am open to suggestions.

Having returned from Darlo, I found a letter inviting me to stand at the next local elections. I hadn't realised the level of desperation within our party.
