Baby update.... rang GP today but he has also rang the ESU and they can't fit me in until Thursday like they said.  He thinks because I had some spotting earlier in the pregnancy then maybe I am likely to have this every few weeks and for now to rest up and wait until Thursday because there's no pain and hopefully nothing bad is happening.  He thinks it's best to let the ESU scan me as sometimes A&E aren't best equipped to figure out what is happening whereas if everything is ok on the scan on Thursday ESU will do more tests to see why it keeps happening whereas A&E will only check on baby and not the underlying problem.

Normally I like doing nothing all day but I am BORED and my house needs scrubbed from top to bottom.  My kids have been off since Friday and the place looks like a bomb hit it.  I am praying no-one visits unexpectedly!

Welsh beach named in world’s top 10 best beaches

Rhossili Bay on the Gower Peninsula was today named one of the world’s best beaches in the Travellers’ Choice Beaches awards, announced by TripAdvisor.

Rhossili Bay beat beaches in Spain, Greece, Italy and Turkey to be named the third best beach in Europe for the second year in a row, and also keeps its title as the UK’s number one.

The Welsh beach even managed to jump up the ranks in the world list this year, moving from 10th to ninth place. Rhossili Bay’s triumph against beaches in such glamorous destinations as Mexico, Brazil and Australia goes to prove that travellers don’t need to travel half way around the world to find a great beach.

“These awards recognise the best beaches in the UK and worldwide, according to the travellers that have visited and given them the highest levels of praise,” commented James Kay, a spokesperson for TripAdvisor. “To have British beaches named among the best in the world just goes to show how lucky we are in the UK to have such stunning scenery right on our doorstep.”

Cold Sweat

Urgh i have so much to do and can't get motivated.... I need to shower, wash and dry hair.... get Minime ready for Nursery and drop her off.... finish tiding/cleaning.... do all the floors while Minime is at school..... Change bedding etc.... Pick kids up from school...... And probably some other stuff all before 4pm when my Dad, Brother, SIL and baby Archie arrive for a few days.

The Chancellor has used his Budget to introduce a major change for the nation's pockets - a new pound coin to be introduced in 2017.

The high-tech coin will have the same shape as the 12-sided threepenny bit and will be the hardest in the world for criminals to copy, the Government said.

"After 30 years loyal service, the time is right to retire the current ÂĢ1 coin, and replace it with the most secure coin in the world," a Treasury spokesman said.

"With advances in technology making high value coins like the ÂĢ1 ever more vulnerable to counterfeiters, it's vital that we keep several paces ahead of the criminals to maintain the integrity of our currency.

"We are particularly pleased that the coin will take a giant leap into the future, using cutting-edge British technology, while at the same time paying a fitting tribute to past in the 12-sided design of the iconic threepenny bit."

Composite Of Old Threepenny BitThe threepenny bit went out of service in 1971

Currently, 3% of the current pound coins are fake, meaning a total of more than ÂĢ45m in circulation are forgeries, according to the Treasury.

Several features of the new ÂĢ1 coin should make it harder to fake, including its shape and its construction from two differently-coloured metals.

It will be similarly coloured to the gold and silver euro and the ÂĢ2 coin.

The historic three pence piece, fondly known as the threepenny bit, was in circulation from 1937 until decimalisation in 1971 and was in the first group of coins to feature a portrait of Queen Elizabeth.

British Currency: Two pound coins on ten pound banknotes, close-upThe new coin is similar to the ÂĢ2 coin in colour

As with all coins now, the Queen's face will be on the heads side of the new coin, but there is to be a public competition to decide the design for the tails side.

The design, which will be roughly the same size of the existing ÂĢ1 coin, means vending machines and parking meters will have to be overhauled.

But it already has the backing of the Automatic Vending Association, which said the cost for adapting existing machines would be "minimal".

Kelvin Reynolds, of the British Parking Association, added: "Parking operators have long expressed concerns about a rise in counterfeit ÂĢ1 coins and the inconvenience this causes to motorists when coins are rejected by parking payment machines and the losses incurred as a result."

It's a bit blowy on that beach erin, mainly becase there's no ice cream kiosks and hot dog stalls to act as windbreakers!

I've had great weather there, and even if it isn't you are close to Swansea and The Mumbles, which are both great places ... and there are some fabulous walks around.

I might just have to book a weekend there myself. This is reminding me of how nice it is!

Bruising almost gone in the face but still bad down my right hand side. Bump much smaller and it's not painful to move my forehead now. I am hoping to get back to exercise class tomorrow. I will do two days this week and back to normal on Monday. Cheers for asking

After tweeting about Putin tonight I had the joy of some Russian insults.

When I translated them, I was so hoping one of them would say "you will die" so I could quote Rocky.

But what worries me more is that people are supporting him. All I can think is he is going to annex every neighbouring country and try to relive the 'Eastern Block'.

Am I wrong?

Cinds
