I need a bit of help. I'm transcribing some old letters for my family tree. I am having trouble with the first word on this letter, after DEAR SIR. It appears on a few letters, but I just cannot fathom what it is.
Cinds, I think it may be "I beg to forward cheque for ÂĢ20" which is the very old fashioned and formal way of saying "I enclose cheque for ÂĢ20".
Thank you.
Right, my next one is. What is the gents Surname?
Cinds, I think the surname may be Kirtley.
That's what I thought it might be, but wanted to have it confirmed. Thanks El Loro.
I think the forename might be George ....my dad always signed as Geo.........(you probably knew that anyway).
not about my Dad but that the name was George
I do like the dress Holly is wearing on This Morning. I wonder where she got it? Mind ...........I think it's a bit young for me.
The concourse of Victoria train stationâĶ 3am on a Sunday morning. The only service running through the night are trains heading south to Gatwick and Brighton. Useful for those heading back late at night to Clapham Junction, East Croydon and Horley â but you do have to be aware that every other train is a Gatwick direct! From 1am all but one entrance into the station get locked - giving the impression that the station is closed â and the open entrance usually has two station personnel marshalling it.
I'm sat here with my pc headset on... don't know why cos i wasnt listening to anything i think it's just habit. Anyway some weird (alien like) noises started and there was nothing open that could make them.... It was like interference with a wave kind of thing.... very strange.... I'm taking it as a loose wire in the headset and they are on the way out.

Thats a bit spooky
It's going to be one of those days.
I woke up and put the news on and started the day off smiling at a cute story about a baby gorilla. Then they started discussing breast feeding in public and I was infuriated by some of the ignorant tweets they were reading out. Mr C said 'you seem in a good mood' I said 'just don't' and with that started crying.
So all within 10 minutes of waking up, I had happiness , full on rage and then despair.

You're not pregnant are you Cinds?
Hahahaha Don't. We've already had a laugh at my hankering of gherkins and mustard.
Not pregnant. Just mental
Today I have had two tuna and tomato (homemade) sandwiches for lunch. I realy did not think this news warranted a thread of its own.
So i'm taking the 3yr old to the cinema tomorrow...... wish me luck as i may need it!

Me and my 2 girls are going to see Frozen Soozy, my son will be in the screen next door with my friend and her two boys watching Free Birds. They've all seen the Lego movie (well apart from the little one) and all liked it.

Au contraire my friend. I wish I'd started a thread about my sliced corned beef, gherkin and mustard sandwich on seeded bread. Heaven in bread it was.

I think there may be room for a thread on lunch sandwiches.

Rexi, we've booked tickets to see Priscilla again at the end of the month (doing the matinee and the evening show again), plus it ties in with Mr C using his valentines gift off me at Zip World. I swear to god we were both lovely gay gentlemen in our last lives.
Haha Cinds!
I can't wait now!

Mr C so wants the eyelashes near the beginning, and also, the Tina Turner get up. You'll know what I mean when you've seen it.
You'll laugh even more now, cos you'll think about that.
Who is the bloke on the right, is it his relative from way back?
I ask because I was sent a photo of a gentleman from Canada in the 1800's who was a very distant relative to my father, but it was his bloody double. Made the hairs on my neck stand up.
It really is an uncanny resemblance

Those are amazing! Cinds you should be a designer. You could open up a craft shop on ebay and make a few bob on the side
Thank you Jen for posting them.
Roger, I started trying to do it because I was looking for bathroom accessories for my new bathroom (building starts in two weeks) and I couldn't find anything sparkling enough, so I thought I'd try to do my own, hence the tissue box. I've got soap dishes to mosaic next.
