I'm chuffed to bits, never been a garden girl, but last year I really got in to it, and I have spring flowers popping up.

In spite of the rubbish weather, I have a few crocus, daffodil and snowdrop plants in bloom. It doesn't half lift the spirits.

I have been looking for ages for the ideal accessories for my new bathroom (that isn't done yet).  So I've decided I might have a go myself at making them. Plates for potpourri & tissue boxes.

Here are my first attempts, bear in mind they are my first attempts and they are not yet grouted.

What you cannot see here is the black tiles have a diesel on water effect.

Yes, it does. Who pays for her room?

She's got a student loan, she doesn't like the course but she's got to do it if she wants to be a teacher and she's stuck there on her own as she's only in uni Monday and Tuesday

I loved the theme tune to his programme and looked it up for a friend who I was discussing it with a while ago.

I was always a 'townie' .........as a kid I positively loathed this programme = it used to be on on a Wednesday afternoon and my Dad was home from work - he loved it.

I've tried to You Tube the theme tune and I get the 'old' theme tune ..........the one I remember well is

'Say what you will the countryside is still' etc etc

I've been a country bumpkin for 25 years now ........wouldn't thank you for town dwelling nowadays.

Cinds ......I'd so love to meet up with you. I'm just the same - always making things to fit the style of the room ....I'm no where near ass talented unfortunately. My kids have to tell me .....mum - less is more - you've gott know when to stop. I have papier mache sandcastles in my 'seaside bedroom'

I recently tarted up some wall out to fit the colour scheme in my front room ............my daughters response ...hmmmmmm yeah

As a kid i found Jack Hargreaves surprisingly watchable - think Out of Town was shown on Sunday lunchtime or thereabouts and How on a week day before Magpie.

Cold Sweat

We're off to the London tomorrow to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary.  (I say 10th, but if we wanted to be pedantic it's our 2 1/2th wedding anniversary, as we got married on 29 Feb 2004).  Tomorrow night we are going to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory musical.  Saturday, I am taking Mr Cinds shopping  I hope he's got some sort of heart medicine with him.

Now . . . i don't like those pipes

Normally a metal stem and often a plastic bowl with a meercham liner

Not for me

Happy anniversary for tomorrow, Cinds.

I almost feel sorry for Mr C being subjected to a shopping marathon.

 High heels, of course.

Just spent half an hour on the phone to an old school friend ..................haven't seen her for about twelve years. It's her birthday today so I suddenly got the impulse to ring.

Lovely. Shocking t .o think that it was over forty years since we were at school together. I love catching up - gonna try to arrange a weekend in Brighton where another school friend now lives.  There was once four of us the very, very best of friends. Sadly my dearest friend died twelve years ago but it would be so good to get together.
