Freestyle skier, Rowan Cheshire, following the training accident that left her hospitalized with concussion on Sunday! TeamGB have not ruled out the possibility that Cheshire could still compete later in the weekâ€Ķ

TeamGB have decided that Cheshire won't compete. Not enough time between the injury occurring and her event starting appears to be the line - which seems reasonable... and at 18 i'm sure her long-term potential would alo be a consideration.

Out supporting her male Freestyle teammates who competed today.

TeamGB in the half-pipe following their final practice session on Wednesday.  A nice touch that both skiers are fully attiredâ€Ķ even though only bib 21 Emma Lonsdale will now be competing.

The unassuming Emma Lonsdale made her 2 runs on Thursday – described by BBC Sport as “safe” she failed to reach the final. The 9 times British champion seemed pleased though – competing at the Winter Olympics in her sports inaugural appearance had been the ambition – she showed support for her injured team-mate and also announced her own retirement from the sport. Job doneâ€Ķ

Until I saw the bruised and bloodied pic of Rowan Cheshire on the BBC Sports site last Monday I had neither heard of her or Freeski half-pipe. I’ve now seen a little of the sport and found it quite exhilarating to watch. They say Cheshire is very goodâ€Ķ hopefully we get to see her fly in the future!

I was going to say (jokingly) 'I've been there!' Thinking of some of the wild places on the west coast of Scotland (Next stop America!). Then I read the caption and I really HAVE been there. Don't think it was quite as windy though!

Where does that expression come from? My mum says it but up until now she's the only person I've heard say that.

I have read that its origin is Scottish, with the word Jenny meaning 'a lot of', so a Tea Jenny was someone who liked a lot of tea.

However, this could be utter codswallop, as I have never heard the word ' jenny' used in place of 'a lot of' for anything else.

I'm a tea jennie too, but not in Mike's league!

I've always understood it to be of Scottish origin, but never knew exactly how.

We've just been out to do a few jobs and decided to swing through McDonalds to get coffee. So we order "one large and one regular latte please, and we have a voucher for the regular latte"  The drive thru operator responds "why don't you use the voucher for the large latte and just pay the 30p to upgrade it to large, that way you're only paying ÂĢ1.39 for your regular latte and the 30p to upgrade the large one" I said "well it doesn't really make any difference does it" her "yes because other wise you would have to pay ÂĢ1.69 for your large latte, the way I said means you are only paying ÂĢ1.39 for the regular plus the 30p to upgrade your voucher to a large latte" Then she added very snappily "I'm only trying to save you some money"

Utter despair.

Utter despair.

Or in other words:

hassle you to buy more than the order you wanted

spend 30p more.

and be given backcheek in the process !

No Rosie I just wanted two coffees, one large, one regular. I had a loyalty voucher which gets you a free regular coffee. Which means I would need to pay ÂĢ1.69 for the large latte.  But she was arguing that if I used the voucher towards the large latte, I would only have to pay 30p for the large and ÂĢ1.39 for the regular and by doing this she was saving me money.

i thought it was a good story

or

maybe it WAS true but US government hid it

In this instance, I'm happy to believe it's an urban myth.
