I've just made tea the wrong way.  I say the wrong way because it's not how I usually make tea and it tasted very different from my normal cup.  It's funny how the same 4 ingredients can be used in exactly the same way but in a different order and the outcome is different.

Usually I do: teabag, then sugar, then boiling water, then milk.

BUT

tonight I did: teabag, then sugar, then MILK, then boiling water and it made the tea a lot more milky and just not as nice as normal.

not very interesting, I know, but I thought I'd share.

I've noticed that when I've put in the milk before the water

My nephew is like a toothpick.  Tall, really, REALLY skinny and rather handsome (I am bias but he really is handsome).  He brought his new girlfriends to my Mums one day and we were.....surprised.  She is 'jolly' as you say, except she was a miserable sod and has a face like a bulldog chewing a wasp.  However he is very happy and she seems to be a good influence on him.  My youngest was bursting to say something at the time but (thank God!) waited til we got in the car to go home and just said 'D and his girlfriend don't match'  we asked what he meant and he said 'he's skinny and she's very not skinny'.

I did too

I also laughed at the winking comment

You are a funny guy Pirate I hope your stepsons happy.

Ah, your condition...

I couldn't get through the day without coffee.

Lol I know this is a bit rude to be posting but I was just on facebook and saw my cousin had posted about football (nothing new for a saturday) one of his mates says 'I hope your team loses today' to which he replies 'I hope your next shite is a hedgehog'.

I am easily amused but I thought that was a very good come back.

I am a tea monster.

I buy 240 bags a week and drink around 30 cups a day.

I am also on the books of Papworth Hospital for caffeine addiction .

They are graded (in order of severity) Moderate, Severe, Acute, and finally Chronic.

Mine is Chronic.

Top that up with 6 cans of Monster Green per day.

A potentially lethal caffeine dose is rated at 1.4mg.

I am on around 3.5mg per day.

Tea is good.

Life without tea would be existence.

And before anyone says the dreaded "decaf" word - I tried.

Its just nasty.

Where does that expression come from? My mum says it but up until now she's the only person I've heard say that.

I have read that its origin is Scottish, with the word Jenny meaning 'a lot of', so a Tea Jenny was someone who liked a lot of tea.

However, this could be utter codswallop, as I have never heard the word ' jenny' used in place of 'a lot of' for anything else.
