I don't know why for sure but I know her DS username and she is posting there.

2 things...(kid related)...

1:  My eldest is starting his new school on Friday and I am worrying myself sick.  He hasn't left the house all summer because he couldn't be bothered with his friends.  He does talk to his P7 friends on xbox, most of whom are also going to the new school but I don't know if he's going to be in any of their classes.  I know I should just wait until Friday and worry then if he comes home saying he doesn't know any of his class mates but I just keep remembering my first day at secondary school, knowing no-one and not making friends until nearer xmas and it's upsetting to think he's going to go through that!

aaaaaand 2:  He has to get his adenoids out 2 weeks later so he'll miss a week of school after that and that's a huge amount of time for someone who has a hard time settling into new situations as it is   He really doesn't make friends easily and I think that week off is going to be a set back.

I know you people say the worrying never ends but this eldest boy of mine has my heart broke with worrying about him constantly  the youngest just gets on with things but because the eldest is so like me in many ways then I understand his worry a bit more than his dad, whose reply is always 'he'll be grand'.

And to think I'm planning on a 3rd child!!  The stress of this week alone is putting me off having any more

Omg Ells ... I just thought exactly the same thing, spooky or what?

I had first been wondering on CBB launch night and haven't been on much since then but seeing as xochi has said Sooz has been posting on DS then I'm wondering if something has annoyed or upset her here

Ells. Can I just say, I was only talking about this with my OH earlier on whilst we were out having a meal. The grandson is starting high school the week after next, and he has been the same.

I, like you remember, when I started high school. I knew no one, I was in the top class and I was so overwhelmed.

Our grandson has done 14 year old students exams this year as he is very capable of it and he has got top marks. He is 11.

The trouble is, because he is a high flyer, his friends from middle school are in a different class to him and he is distraught that he will not know any one when he gets to high school.

We have told him, that although at registration he will be in class whatever, he will see his friends in different subjects.

He is flying off to Tenerrife tomorrow with his mum, but we have just spoken to him on the 'phone, and he is in higher spirits than what he has been in, and he will be in school a week on Thursday, so he won't have much time to think about stuff once he gets back.

I feel for you Ells, but don't worry too much as he will sort it himself you will see.

It was so much hotter than I expected it to be today.  We went to Shotton with the dogs for Mr C to sky dive (an aside note he's just gained his B & C licences). Dogs were fine as we parked where they could hide in the boot of the car in the shade if they wanted too. I am however the colour of a lobster.  If I'd realised it was going to get that hot I would have took sun protection with me. ALAS

There you go Ells.  Lots of love to you. Let us know how he gets on please.
