Actually he won 6.4 million but it was on a night that the jackpot was 96 million and was shared between 16 people.

Oh my God.....imagine getting all your numbers up, thinking you'd won ÂĢ96 million and then the lotto people telling you 15 other people also won and that you were only getting ÂĢ6.4 million.  It's still a massive amount of money, I know, but it would be quite a big difference.

Oh and I was nowhere near any of them at all my ticket numbers weren't even close  I had a few tickets (I buy them if I'm at the lotto counter in a shop getting electric or whatever) and really thought I had a chance of winning at least something.  ÂĢ2.70 I won.

I don't usually buy one but thought I'd give it a go with all the raffle numbers

Wasn't  sure if  this was the right thread, but since people are asking after ditty in here .. just spoken with her and said I would give folks an update on what;s been happening.

As you know, her mum was very very ill the last time ditty posted and the nurses had indicated she was very close to the end. However , the consultant intervened, saying it was important she get to an appointment that had been arranged to look at prescribing Tarceva, a drug that can lengthen life . He prescribed more steroids ,basically to get her through to the date of the appointment,  and there was a short-term improvement in response . Unfortunately though he then called in the day before the appointment to say she was far too ill for the drug and that the steroids should be withdrawn too . As you can imagine, the family's been through it , trying as best they could to prepare for the worst, then being given some hope, then having that shot down.

Ditty's mum is now back to where she was prior to the steroids- she's very, very ill indeed  and the end of life team are involved. The syringe driver's in place ready to be used and now it's just about making her as comfortable as possible and hoping for as good a passing as possible.

Will keep you updated x

Conversation with my youngest today:

Me: Room cleaning day tomorrow Jamie

Jamie:  I'll not be here, I've got things to do

Me: What does a 7 year old HAVE to do and where do you think you're going?

Jamie:  I'll be outside playing football

Me:  Well you can go out AFTER you clean your room

Jamie:  Mammy you know I only make it worse.  How about you clean it and I promise I'll stay out of your way until you're done.  Then I'll come in and play xbox for the rest of the day.

I honestly think he does that 'clean up badly and she'll never ask again' thing that the menfolk are so good at.

Aww Slinki that's terribly sad for Ditty and family.  Given a wee bit of hope then having it taken away.

Not a huge amount of people pass through here so maybe you'd like to post it in Dittys thread about her Mum as I'm sure that's where people are more likely to check for updates on how Ditty is doing aswell as how her Mum is  x

It sounds like he's a very bright kid. You should be proud - I'm sure he'll go far.
