I told him I'm not letting him go on holiday next year.

Lil Aims is having a great time, she got in at 5 this morning and she's off to a paint party tonight and then to see a rapper, she had a snake put round her neck last night and she says never again

The 7 year old is standing in tears because I won't allow him to sleep in his friends house a few doors up.  I know when I was a kid I was allowed to stay in my best mates house at that age but I really don't trust the other kid.  I know that sounds awful but he's a year older and he's fond of talking about poo, bums and God knows what else.

My wee one hates me now and keeps saying 'I thought you were the boss' because I blamed him not being allowed on Daddy saying no way  He's too young though but he just doesn't understand that!

You could have used the 'not on a school night' reason.

I'm surprised she did that  I'm quite shocked how much she seems to be liking it to be honest, she'll be on bed rest for a month when she gets back

Ahhh right, I forget that you have different holidays to us. DOH.

By 8.30 this morning, I had:-

Taken delivery of the new washing machine

Walked the dogs

Watered the garden

Moved all of the removed decking from the back garden to the front of the house ready for the new patio to be laid today.

Instructed Mr C to build me a planter trough out of some of the old decking.

Came to work.

Is it bed time yet?  Although, I won't get to have an early night as we are out for a family dinner tonight to celebrate my eldest sisters 50th birthday.

Cinds

So I've been out for the family dinner.  And this is the cake my second eldest sister made for the one turning 50.  (as an aside 50....50.... I'm celebrating my sisters being 50, that is not funny).

Anyway, so here is the cake.  Just so you know, my sister owns a couple of deli shops. (If anyone is in the Framwellgate Moor area of Durham, that's where her main place is)

It's the coffin he's buried in.  Hitler would have took shelter in it.  Well had it been 65 (give or take a few) years earlier.

I'm opting for the same for hubby ... well, that's if he goes before me. I know I would be desperately upset if I had to bury him, but I'd be even more upset if I was burying him in a box costing over a grand!

We had to funeral both of Mr Cinds parents within 10 months of each other and the variation was ridiculous.

His Mums sister sorted the Mums funeral, (and I know this sounds awful but she's one of lifes 'grabbers' if you know what I mean?  But I would not be surprised if she  had got a back hander from his Mothers funeral).

10 months later when his Father died, we went elsewhere and it was almost ÂĢ2000 less and a much better service. (and when I say service I dont't mean the actual funeral sitting down service, but the way the funeral directors conducted it all).

Joe, they just frustrate me no end.  After 4 phone calls, each one spouting recorded crap at me then telling me I needed a different number at the end, I finally got to speak to someone after being on  hold for almost 30 minutes, only for the complete waste of space to tell me I needed to speak to Sage.

Last payroll year we had underpaid them because we had overpaid them they year before.  They were quick to write to me about the underpayment so when I rang them and went through it all with them, they agreed that they owed me money.  When I asked for it in writing they blankly refused saying it wasn't their policy.

Right I need to go, I can feel my blood pressure rising again.
