Zante (sp) Greece

She'll be fine, she's a sensible girl, Aimee. My youngest has been to Zante and had a good time.

I wouldn't bother, Moonie. Just adopt a knowing expression, like a wise old owl.

I trust her, just being over protective

My brain is frazzled today!

I nearly tipped aglass of water in the bin instead of the sink and i've just been looking everywhere for my phone.... I had it upstairs when i went to get more washing.... I'm so lucky it didn't end up in the washer... i found it on the floor next to it in the couple of items that didn't fit in with the load... i must have put it in the basket on my way down the stairs. I'm dangerous today.

Sounds like a normal day for me, Jen.

Someone on my facebook did the exact same thing today, phone in the basket til she got down stairs then panicked when she thought she put it in the wash.

Still hungover at this time of day? Must have been a good night!

I was dying this morning Jen, got up to send the kids to school and was fine.  Woke at 11 then and had the headache from hell and needed a bucket

Not so sick now but really tired and starving.  I've just text the OH and said 'drooling thinking about that big 6 incher you're bring home for me'  hope he realises I mean the Subway.

Right, well I'm back in the UK to find that the ONE fox that seemed to like our garden has now set up home with his wife and THREE foxlets!  According to the gardener, he had to mow round the cheeky thing the other day 'cos he (the fox, not the gardener) was having a sunbathe/nap right in the middle of the lawn

The pups are nesting behind a load of bushes and aren't that small, and mum and dad seem to be strolling around as if they own the place.  But..!  They're nesting in a well trod path regularly used by a couple of badgers.

Anyone know if badgers and foxes get along ok?

I'm dreading a face off between the two factions

Cosmopolitan

I imagine they will both have a way to avoid each other, but judging on my horrible experience last year, make sure the juveniles don't get too comfortable as the parents will want them to move on and the cubs may decide to explore inside your place over the summer if you leave doors open. And, well, mark it as their new territory.

I remember your fun and games, Xochi.

We get a lot of wildlife here, but usually we're just 'en route' when it comes to badgers and foxes.  I suppose our dogs used to keep them away, but we're dog-less now.  Funnily enough, there's been a lot of dead pigeons over the last few months but we thought it was the semi resident sparrow hawk (we *think* it's a sparrow hawk).

I guess I'll just make a nuisance of myself with Ma & Pa Fox over the next few days and hopefully they'll move on.  Failing that, I'll offer B&B to my mum's highly annoying, but very robust dog.

As you're dogless now I reckon they'll feel very happy to make themselves at home so persuading them to move on is a good idea. I'm sure the badgers, however, will just womble through and ignore you and the foxes.

Think you're right about the badgers.  Eldest son was sleeping in the garden late one night (translated as:  pissed as a newt, keyless), rolled over, looked up and came face to face with Brock.  It was no contest as to who was the scared one (Clue: Keyless drunken muppet)
