Any news on the baby, Cinds?

Baby Luke was born at 11.59 last night weighing in at 5 lb 8 oz. A little bit poorly, nothing serious just needs a closer eye kept on him. Mother is fine. 

Not sure yet Summer, probably wait and see what happens today and then arrange to go down to visit.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes.

Baby has been taken in to Special Care this afternoon, not sure of the exact details yet but his blood sugar and temperature had been low, so I think it might be to try to stabilise those things.  Hopefully will get some more news soon.

ION I think my sky box is haunted. 

It keeps setting itself to record the most random of programmes, not only does it set itself to record them but it also puts them on series link. The programmes are so varied from stuff on ceebeebies channel to things on Al Jazeera England 

Many congratulations Cinds on baby Luke. Fingers crossed its just a precaution and all will be ok  

When my eldest daughter was born she had to go into the special care unit as she had low blood sugar, all the babies were tiny and there was my daughter all 9lbs and 3ozs!

Machel, I remember when Master Cinds was in intensive care, he was one of the bigger ones at 2lb 6, then this baby came in that was over 8lbs and all of us other mothers couldn't believe how enormous he looked.  So a 9 pounder must have looked like she filled the incubator to the brim.

I'm a terrible Mum/friend My son's friend (my closest friends son) was having a rock climbing birthday party at 10am today... My friend txt me at 10:15 asking where i was... to which i replied 'at home why?'...... I had totally forgotten! Que me scrambling to get him there lol

10am parties??  No way!  lol.

I hate when the kids get invites to parties at silly times.  Like 3.30, they get out of school at 3 fgs!

Pirate, worst thing to do is to try and force things to be different/better/what you think oters think it should be. There'll be ups and downs, but in time you'll see the 'ups' are a bit higher and the 'downs' aren't quite as down as they used to be, but you have to let it happen of it's own accord, forcing things will only make it worse and delay the natural healing process.

I was just reading the instructions that came with the keyboard/cover for my tablet.

I'm so glad I read them - something awful could have happened. Apparently I shouldn't put it in the microwave. I'm so glad they made that clear
