We rang at 1:30am and he was sitting up watching Despicable Me with his Granny.  Her grandson lives with her so she's used to kids at night and the grandson was annoying my wee one so he decided to leave him to it and join granny  I'm sure she loved that!  He seems ok, hopefully he is settled now.....but I bet he's up at the crack of dawn for her!

The happiest man in the UK is likely to be a blue-eyed married teacher named  Steve, according to a new poll.
The research by Cadbury Heroes into  Britain's most content people found that men called Steve and women called Wendy  are the happiest.
Norman, Tom, Alan and Ken also finished in the top five  male names, while Lesley, Sandra, Anne and Mary fared well among women.
On the other hand, men named Gary and Chris and women  named Tina and Rebecca are likely to be the least content. Other names linked to  unhappiness are Alison, Caroline, Emma, Mike, Mark and Ian.
People with  lighter hair were found to be happier than those with darker hair. Older people  also do better than younger and men slightly better than women. The most content  people have blue eyes and wear glasses.
The survey also looked into the  happiest places to live, finding that people from Edinburgh, Cardiff and  Southampton are likely to feel good, whereas residents of Newcastle, Liverpool  and Norwich find happiness more of a struggle.
Researchers said: "Men  were found to be happier than women, while singletons - who may be footloose and  fancy free - were not as happy as those who were married.
"Those in their  mature years of 60s and 70s were happiest of all compared to their 20-year-old  counterparts."

My fridge broke today  I'd got all lovely stuff marinading for a barbequeue.  Lamb kebabs - bbq chicken - piri piri chicken, chilli kofta (minced beef), sausages - I made a quark/lemon cheesecake yesterday too ............the whole lot had to go in the bin. Went to Morrsons and bought stuff for a roast instead. Added to which  I've spent most if the day sorting out the spare bedroom/airing cupboard/ and bathroom getting ready for builders on Tuesday.

Not happy!!! To make matters worse -on Thursday I took out a years insurance on all my kitchen appliances but can't claim for six weeks .......typical

And just to forewarn you all ...........I'm going to be whingeing and complaining for the next few weeks while the builders are in remodelling my bathroom and building an en suite.

**sings** There may be trouble ahead ***

is your last second bid friend Ellis - as long as you have put your max price in that you are prepared to go to as it needs setting up in advance

I think Soozy recommended this so one for her as well

Yes I love goofbay - stops me getting into bidding wars and ending up paying far more than I wanted to or more than the items worth.

Any tips?

be selective in what is worth selling as the clothes section as you know is vast and you have to consider insertion fees [ there are free listing weekends to watch out for ]- end of auction fees which is a percentage of the selling price and then paypal charge you for collecting your money - then of course postal costs have gone up yet again !!!

sorry to sound negative but it kicks the ass out of anything you sell unless the item is worth several pounds

All of the above.  And yes, the postage is ridiculous at the minute.  ÂĢ2.80 for the likes of dresses etc and ÂĢ5.20 minimum for shoes or anything bulky.

When selling, make sure you list as many specs as you can in the title.  Don't just title it 'dress, size 10' try 'long sleeve green wrap dress with black trim size 10'.  Sounds silly but 'black' and 'dress' are among the most searched items so if there's a way to get them into your title then do it.  Don't start the bidding at anything you wouldn't like to sell for.  No point starting a bid for 99p if you hope to get a tenner for it.  Try to keep postage costs to a minimum.   You could even offer free postage and just start the bidding a little higher.  Be honest in your listings, if it has a tear of pull, list it.  Then it can't come back to bite you if some negs your feedback for it....ebay will remove the neg if you had clearly listed the fault.

Get some jiffy bags for posting, they're a lifesaver when trying to get a lot of items packed up to post.   Try to post as quickly as possible as some people will still give  a low rating even if you have stated you don't post straight away (that gets on my nerves, they take 4 days to pay then give me a low rating because I took 3 days to post even though I always state 5 working days on listings).

Don't let any of this stuff put you off Sooz, I love selling on ebay.  I've made quite a few quid by getting rid of stuff that I'd otherwise dump or give away.  My only downfall is selling 6 pairs of shoes and buying 2 new pairs with the money I make

Aimee ......in the past couple if months I've had a broken tumble drier, dishwasher, one of my ovens, my lap top is hanging on for dear life and now my fridge .....annoying as it's a really nice one and the freezer at the bottom is OK. It a Miele - I bought it off a guy who had a tea shop for only a few months before going bust so no warranty. I'd like to hop it could be fixed but Mr Woo thinks not.

I'd love to blame you Aimee but I do know I'm very heavy handed

Phew - airing cupboard emptied .....so far 4 bin bags for charity collection
